great leg to break Wade there, then a 180 to start the leg for 3-2

Wade seems to be hanging in there a bit. He needs to win this set to make it 3-3

    Wade broken again

Wright will probably see this out from here now, he's playing too well and the doubling is getting better.

Wade wins this set and has the darts in the next, far from over imo

Wade not giving in one bit

I take that back! Great fighting from Wade. Back on throw and all to play for.

    Great bottle from The Machine.

Have a feeling Wright puts in a good set here against the darts and takes it 5-3.

    Good shout so far anyway

    Great finish

Class finish from Wright to win. I fear for him on his doubles under pressure against the likes of MVG but his scoring is brilliant.

Great game. Players often say they think they can win the tournament whether they believe it or not. It seems like Wright really does believe it, he will take some beating with how deep he can dig to pull out the finishes.

Have a double on Wade and Barney to win their quarters, feeling cautiously optimistic now.:o

Drat. Also on a q-f winner acca of Wright/MVG/Chisnall/Taylor but the Chiseller hasn't a prayer against Anderson...Does he?

Chizzy needs to step it up and play his best today or he's in for a right tonking.

Ando is definitely going to average 102+ and play fantastic.

Love to see Wright go on and win it but a potential semi final vs Gary Anderson will be tough. If Chisnall somehow beats Anderson next than i think Wright will get to the final.

An MVG vs Dave Chisnall final could be very one sided match with MVG winning well

Feel sorry for Wade that he just cant get over the line but he is still a good player

Really hoping MVG puts Gurney in his place but you never know

Taylor/Barney is hard to call but id go for Taylor

    Chizzy looking deflated already

  • Registered Users Posts: 114 ✭✭FineAle

Savage amount of 180s being dished out

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,277 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

Good lord that's a blistering start.

    9 180s in a set is surely a record.

Chizzy threw the kitchen sink at Ando there and still lost the set on his own throw.

Just watched Chizzy pop in a 180 keeping himself very steady and then the next go he throws the shoulder like a fella hitting a haymaker.
If he could sort out that I think he'd be far more consistent. More often than not when he gives it a lot of shoulder he doesn't hit what he's trying to.

Chizzy with 6 awful darts in the final leg of the set there. That's the difference between him and Anderson. He can't be throwing darts like that in the Quarter Finals and expect to win a set.

    Ridiculously good darts from Ando.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

    180's galore.

9 darter on the cards in this match?
