Both in a complete groove now.....Cullen especially so. Never seen him play as well.

    Cullen is playing ridiculous darts.

Right when did MVG possess the body of Joe Cullen.

If I were him I'd not want to change anything at this point, just keep going as you are, don't make this a needle match or lose the head emotionally.

On about Hearn or cadby? Ridiculous standard so far really enjoyable contest , backed Cullen 6/4 simply because cadby was priced too short

Hearn (something about him I don't trust, prob his gangster type accent lol)

Great game this and Adrian Lewis has a tough match ahead of him no matter who wins

Cullen looks the more likely now.

As mentioned earlier Cadby is wasteful with the second dart if his first dart doesn't hit its intended target

Cadby lost it now completely it seems, there for the taking for Cullen.

    Brilliant performance by Cullen
Even in the first set when Mardle was drooling over Cadby..Cullen had 106average

Great win from Joe Cullen. Cadby is a winner too though as he is now firmly on the map. Loses the head the odd time when he misses the first dart on a finish and flings the other two in but a bit of character is always welcome.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,277 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

Interesting to see if Cullen can replicate this kind of performance.

I have my doubts to be honest.

Cadby looks to have a hell of a future ahead of him. Was petulant at times but he's very young and inexperienced. Future world champ imo.

Healthy weight player won...Cadby needs to fatten up a bit!

:) (was just thinking the same) I think Lewis will eat him for lunch next round :)

That was some serious performance from Cullen, a lot of other players would have been blown away after losing the first set the way he did but it actually seemed to motivate him. If he repeats that performance and Lewis is a bit off like he was in his game, it should be very interesting but its hard to see Cullen repeating that, especially now that he's made it past the first round, no matter what happens in round 2, he'll be satisfied to even be there for a change!

It was a great performance from Cullen. The 81 checkout after the first dart bounced out was real gutsy.

I'm still a bit gutted over cadby losing. Would have loved to see him v Lewis on the stage.

    Cadby is something special though.
I know it's been said plenty of times when a young player bursts on the scene and the sky hyperbole begins but there is just something different about this guy, basically he doesn't seem to give a s**t. He just seems nerveless.

The petulance when throwing away darts after the first is missed will have to be reined in but he's only 21. Early days career wise but the future is bright. Certainly one to follow over the next year.

Premier league maybe? It's been getting less interesting by the year but he could certainly shake it up.

iwas glad to see cullen beating him he was to cocky as if he was there for years and if he had concentrated on throwing as much as he concentrated on slowing the game down he may have got on better ....a very good dart thrower all the same getting beat will be the life of him

The top 20 bar two or 3 are all well over a healthy weight and I'm probably underestimating a few.
    10 Klaasen, Jelle healthy weight

Klassen has gained loads of weight.

Some great matches last night. King and West wasn't the best quality but it had everything. Cullen played magnificent.

Cadby played very well but can't say I was a fan of his attitude. Reminded me of a young Lewis, too cocky and petulant for his own good. Losing will probably do him good as it with settle down the ridiculous hype.

The Australian police are not too fond of his attitude either!! :D
