I can't see Chizy troubling any of the top seeds. He rarely does.

Don't think he has the consistency, oscillates from heavy scoring to really dodgy.

Can be exciting to watch though!

Possibly not but anyone averaging 98 is a contender.

Dobey and maybe Klassen in his way to the quarters.

I'd fancy Chizzy against either of those two

    Enjoyed the last game.

Best I've seen RJR play on tv as well, some of the young lads seem to have really stepped it up for this worlds.

Chizzy was a bit sloppy but still had a 98.72 average and 9 180s.
    He's a contender.

Wow! I was not expecting that average.. he just hasn't got the nerve to win it out!

Say huybrechts has a short fuse very angry man

Huybrechst getting very excited, should be a fairly routine win for him.

He'd give himself a heart attack if he was bating anyone decent

Huybrechts celebrations annoy me far more than mvgs for some reason.

Wilson a bit unlucky so far.
If he keeps playing at this level he's not out of it.

    Haha or not.

    Good last set from Kim.

He was there to watch hyubrechts, they're under the same management.

1 euro accum on Anderson, Smith, Whitlock, A Lewis, Gurney,Chisnall, RVB, MVG,Wade, Taylor, Wright and Klassen all to win in R2

1 euro accum on Clayton,Smith, Van De Pas,Whitlock, Anderson, Lewis for today (could see this bet being dead and buried after the first game between White and Clayon tbh lol)

Chisnall wasn't very convincing against Rodriguez. Horrendous display on the doubles. Will need to up his game to progress any further this year. Full credit to Rodriguez for that performance though, I think Chisnall beat him 3-0 last year in the same game.

Treble on Smith/ Van De Pas/ Lewis for today.

Afternoon session before the nights drinking. Lovely stuff.

Merv will probably regret not taking that chance to go 2-0 up.

    Poor standard so far today.

Last game could be a tight one though.

    Mervyn is amazing under pressure.

Standard mightn't be amazing but cracking contest.

Smiths head lets him down to much at times. (Saying that, King was dead and buried too).

Merv is some man to grind alright, never gives up.

Smiths attitude does seem to let him down at times, this game should have been put away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,280 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

    Smith is ball-less.

    Fair play to Merv.

What a game. Come on Merv.

Great match. Merv never gave up but Smith's better scoring won it out. Really enjoyed that

Smith can count himself very lucky to win that. King seemed to thrive when he went 3-1 down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,280 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

    Great entertainment in the end.

Smith will need to step it up if he wants to go further.

Webster must be on performance enhancing drugs here.

The amount of players playing the game of their lives this tournament is unreal.

Whitlock throws the darts looking like a man bustin for a crap

Yea, next set is crucial. Not sure he'll be able to keep it up

Whitlock missing doubles is going to cost him.
