Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I need to do 20 push ups on Saturday for an army fitness test. My current max is 12. Do I do as many as I can until my arms hurt and wait and hope I can do the 20 on the day or do I do practice them everyday until Saturday? Please help

Do as many pushups as you can manage every day until thursday morning. Do one more set thursday morning and rest for the remainder of thursday and friday.

Do a light set on friday morning and hope for the best on the day.

Have you done similar tests before and know what is acceptable or not?

i.e. at one time I could bang out maybe 60 pushups which a layperson would have counted as being reasonable, but only maybe 10-12 which an extremely strict instructor would have accepted. You can get a rhythm going with them if they do not have to be very slow & controlled & totally deep.

Might be a good idea to ask some military folk how strict they are on form. Easy to knock out 20 shitty push ups; much harder to do 20 strict push ups. Do you know if your 12 are strict or messy?
