Do the french and other european countries still have the ban in place that prohibits the use of rifles chambered in current and former military rifle rounds ?

ASFIK France and Italy still have something in place.France not so much in the sense its like our " really good reason" for restricted firearms that you need a genuine 9mm or 7.62 NATO gun ,when its just easier to get a gun that looks the same in 10mm or 300 Win magnum or .222.

I'm almost sure that sporting firearms in calibres such as .308 and 30-06 are ok now but military firearms etc are not.
