Just changed mine to US then back to UK and rebooted, still no rte radio 1.

RTE seems to be particularly glitchy. I tried opening it on my phone on TuneIn through assistant and it stuck on "opening". I restarted my phone and opened a different station which played straight away. While the station was playing I requested RTE 1 and it didn't play straight away, but did play eventually.

I see Mapin website has a sale at the moment - will probably be a [URL="Maplin staff made redundant as hopes of finding buyer fade

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/mar/08/maplin-63-head-office-workers-made-redundant-administration?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Copy_to_clipboard"]closing down[/URL] one :( Not sure I would risk ordering anything although credit card purchase might be ok?

Maplin closing down!!! Oh no  I've always liked visiting there, be a big lose!

We stream a US station called Radio Paradise through tune in at night and it's been glitch for the last 2 nights, this must part of the same issue.

Can't get the radio alarm thing going at all. Was optimistic when I changed to US language, but it just played the normal alarm tone.

If I'm not mistaken, they now stream BBC radio direct from the BBC.

For the Irish stations and most others they use Tunein.

Tunein sucks, it has always been very variable, even on Alexa. It changes constantly, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Hopefully if GH is officially launched in Ireland, they will start streaming RTE direct as well. I suspect they switched BBC due to how unreliable Tunein was.

You cant get radio five live on it though can you? It just says not available when I try?

I also couldnt get rte radio 1 yesterday either, said it was streaming...apologised once for something going wrong, please try again later..

I changed my language to US, rebooted so it held the language and it worked. Just changed it back to UK and it's working again.

I was on chat with a guy from Google and he said that changing the language is the workaround they do.

    Didn't work for me :(

There's the workaround then (assuming RTE1 works on the phone app, haven't seen it mentioned that it doesn't).

Doesn't work either. This could easily be a TuneIn issue. They have a long history of breaking things with updates.

spoke to google home tech support re the rte radio 1 issue:

Seems like your not the only one who's having this kind of concern. I have talked with our specialist about this and currently, we're working with our Partners to investigate a stable solution about this issue."

    She then asked:
"Thank you. Is it okay if you can file a feedback from your end? Just say, "hey Google, file a feedback, TuneIn Won't Play (station ID)". That will help us with our investigation."

    After I suggested:
"By the way, that's a good idea to allow Google Home to have the URL from RTE itself. I will go ahead and file request in your behalf so we can consider tat in the future"

I suggest we all (who care about this) do this

Newstalk and TodayFM are working for me this morning. Still no Radio 1.

As a matter of interest, for those people having problems with TuneIn and Home, did anyone else add Minis to their set up this week. I know I did and it stopped working shortly afterwards. (Took advantage of the £39 offer on a trip to Belfast). Just looking to see if it happened to anyone else or maybe I'm completely barking up the wrong tree.

RTE radio 1 does not work for me. I have home and minis since Christmas and RTE not working this week.

Seems to be only RTE radio 1.
All other RTE stations working fine. Lyric, Gold, Junior, 2fm all work flawlessly.
BBC seems to stream straight from the BBC online version as it says 'playing from the BBC' rather than Tunein

Mine GHs are set to US btw.

Yes rte 1 seems to be an issue, but at times all the others have also given issues.

Google assistant is refusing to register the "Turn On" etc keywords. I get the all done page, gives suggestions for those words.

What can I do says this:

I also have no Radio 1, tried UK and US voice. I listen to a radio station in Russia that I created a short cut for due to the language. Works in UK voice but not US voice.

Spoke again via ' chat' to Google, they assured me they are working with TuneIn on the issue... Whatever that means.

I will be "testing" my 2 Google home units in Russia next month for about a year. Going to be interesting to see how it fairs

I filed a report too and also posted on the Google home support forum. Anyone on here able to check whether or not RTE radio 1 working on Google home outside Ireland?
