Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ibra doesn't like martial. 2 chances to play him in.

Thought he would have had the better of the defender there so really don't know why he went for the dive. Very frustrating to watch

Or was it a dive? When is a dive not a dive? #diveception

Great to see miki playing so well especially.

It's alarming how much they have regressed since last year.

Far too reliant on Payet and Antonio to produce something from nothing on the ball and so open at the back, the amount of chances they gave up in the last game and so far in this game must be a concern for Bilic.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Even that corner, they haven't gotten the Man Utd penalty area properly boxed in and it's easy for Man Utd to counter into the acres of space in front of them.

Martial made a right arse of that a. What a goal it would have been.

Rooney playing very well. His touch has really improved

Link up play been great so far we really need to start taking the chances though. Been a big issue for us this season cause the general attacking player is much better.

Fun example there on why Mourinho distrusts Shaw.

Rojo's timing of the tackle is impressive

There's been clear evidence of United moving forward in games this season today again.

Main issue is where not taking control of games and scoring a few when where on top.

Really if look at some performance s this season if we had of killed off those games we be in the top 3.

Not sure this game is the best marker of Man Utd's "progress."

I don't know if Utd fans are trying to convince themselves of progress or everybody else, they are definitely talking a lot about it in spite of league position.

If it was last season or season before I could well imagine we would of struggled to create things at least.

The performances and attacking play are clear improvement.

The results don't reflect how we have played at times this season.

There's an improvement in chances created but also there's an increase in chances conceded, all of which probably falls in line with how this season's Man Utd are more willing to play riskier passes and thus give the ball away more.

In terms of actual improvement I don't really see it and the league table probably reflects that.

At least these games are decided on the night with it all a bit Abba with the winner taking it all.

Utd are actually very unlucky in fairness. Teams seem to score any chance they get against them.

Thing is that wasn't a chance, that was simply Man Utd handing West Ham a way back into the game. Making such basic mistakes does not constitute bad luck.

West Ham fans having a great time anyway

'He left cos you're sh1t, he left cos you're sh1t, Ashley Fletcher, he left cos you're sh1t'

    To Zlatan

    'Sh1t Andy Carroll, you're just a sh1t Andy Carroll'

From what I could hear, it was the Man Utd fans chanting with "Ashley Fletcher he's one of our own" to which the West Ham fans responded "He left cause you're sh!t"

West Ham fans were singing 'he's one of our own' to take mickey out of Utd as he was a youth of theirs. Sarcasm on the terrace.

Other teams seem to get away with poor play though. No team will go through 90 without making a few mistakes.

Has had quite the few Joe Hart level blunders this season.

No doubt but when your keeper is palming a simple strike into the feet of the opposition striker a few yards from goal it's difficult to say that's bad luck when really it's just a total lack of concentration.

    Simple strike!!!!!

It was a calamitous error, a rare one from DDG but still you can't call it anything else.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,593 ✭✭✭theteal

Hererra very quiet and was poor in the build up to West Ham goal

I'd be disapponted if I fumbled that shot let alone the Spanish and Man Utd number 1.

Doesn't matter. United a ****ing about up front again, it's actually pathetic.
It's been a theme all season. A player like van nistelrooy would make some difference to that team.
