Live Coax - TV not working - Samsung

    Samsung Plasma TV not working.
Today the house electric socket circuit breaker started to trip – through process of elimination I tracked it down to the house distributed coax cable becoming live.. when I say tracked, I mean to got a blast of it.
Anyway it seems during the recent cold spell, condensate developed inside the felt in the attic which dripped onto the FTA sky box short circuiting the box someway thus making the coax cable live.
So it would appear that the coax connected to the TV had become live and now the TV wont turn on..
Have called around some service centres, €50 to check the TV and if a problem is found that 50 is taken off the total fix cost, otherwise I loose the 50..
Just wondering what the potential problem could be and is it work 50 to get checked (TV is ~ 4 years old)
