Best fone to use for vr headset

Hi guys, Whats the best least expensive fone to use with the vr headsets? One that has specs that can handle the 3d depth etc.l to give a good experience. I used a galaxy s4 and it gave no depth or immersion when used with rollercoaster clips etc when used in a headset. Cheers
