hi, my wife and i own a 3 bed semi in cork in a town outside the city, we are thinking of buying a site in a more rural setting. i see that there are numerous sites for sale with planning permission already granted.

is it possible for us to purchase a site in a rural area and use the plans that are already available? - even if we do not live or have any connection with that particular area. - i have very little knowledge of local planning laws

    thank you for any assistance

When you enquire about the sites, the agent should meet you and show you a copy of the plans.

Alternatively, you should be able to,view them on the councils website.
Make sure to check there's no local needs criteria conditioned to the application.
