Not really a new slot, he was already doing Sunday afternoons. But he's lost his Saturday gig, so the 3 hours on Sunday is all he's got left. Clinging on...

I think it's disappointing, I honestly can't tell the difference between all those female presenters. Claire Beck, Pamela Joyce, etc. They just all sound the same, robo-jocks.

Have to disagree, Pamela Joyce did a great job replacing Paula when she was on maternity leave. She has a good pace to her voice and keeps things interesting. Claire beck has great experience with phantom/txfm with a good knowledge of indie/alternative music. Hopefully that comes out a bit now she has a weekend show.

Claire Beck was excellent whilst filling in after Muireann OConnell was fired. She was very easy to listen to and not in your face and overly dramatic like the previous person.

Block Rockin Beats wont be the same on a Friday can see him dropping a lot of listeners ,but his Saturday show does sound interesting..

I wouldn't agree, there are a lot of people on the road on a Friday evening. Its tough to get something decent to tune into and with it starting at 7pm its ideal and he gets to gig after it !

I'd actually have a similar show both evenings would agree about Friday evenings not as much any more but I used to be travelling and there was nothing to listen to.But Dec will be missed off my radio on a sat eve.

As for the cork hurling doll never liked her on that fittest family and she doesnt have a voice for radio or TV tbh but I guess she gets plenty of likes on Instagram and snapchat that's the most important thing now if going for a job on irish radio

Really going to miss Block Rockin Beats on a Saturday evening! Claire Beck is a bit meh for me - struggle to disassociate her from the mainstreaming and killing off of Phantom/ TXFM, which is probably harsh from me.

Hang on, whats happened, they've ditched it from Saturday to Friday's. Thats madness, about the only show I'd consciously turn over to today for on a Saturday.

They've now added "Block-Rockin Beats" as an online station on their player. I've had it on for the last 20 minutes, its pretty good! Great alternative to the rubbish on the main station.

And a "life coach" to boot. Thanks very much Anna, but I'm well capable of living my own life without your valuable input

Lads this Irish mix tape on Dermot and Dave is fairly epic.
Caught a few minutes of their show this morning and I think they are doing this every Friday for the last half hour of the show

terrible same sounding generic female presenter whose name probably ends with an '..a'...like pamela, paula, anna etc etc.

well done Keith McCormack for ruining this station.

    Pamela Joyce so yeah.

Todayfm used to be my go to station and during the summer especially it sounded like a happy and content radio station and everyone was friends. What I've seen and heard recently the atmosphere sounds terrible in Marconi house.

Correct and right Ford Fiesta. Content creator ? With any luck that term will be banned when the new alien overlords arrive.

Is Pamela Joyce the same Pamela who used to produce Tony Fenton's show?

No that was Pamela Blake. This Pamela I think text into Paula macsweeneys show saying she wants to be on the radio and how did Paula do it. Something like that anyway.

probably told her to pay the fee for the content creation class..lol if Paula Mac is inspiring someone...yikes

Think you have to do a course to understand the concept of a "content creator".......

I'm at a loose why they would remove Dec Pearce from his popular 6-9pm Saturday slot. A solid dj who plays the music with no forced links.

He's on Friday nights at the same time now instead and Saturday afternoons from 2-6

You answered you own question. They don’t want these people on today fm. It’s clear as day from the moves they’ve made on the weekend. I’m sure Anna geary is a nice person and I’ve no doubt that the vast majority of the presenters are very nice people. This isn’t a personal thing with me, it’s the fact that the today fm top brass wouldn’t know radio talent if it bite them.
