Gardaí investigating after Clares Rocket worth over €1m reported stolen

    An investigation has been launched after a “record-breaking” greyhound worth over €1m was reported stolen.

    Clares Rocket, owned by Riverside Kennels trainer Graham Holland, was reportedly taken from the yard of the Irish Derby winning trainer in Golden, Tipperary.
    It is believed the incident occurred between 6pm on December 4 and the early hours of December 5.

    “This is really the Shergar story of the greyhound industry,” one high profile Limerick greyhound trainer told the Limerick Leader today.
    Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact Tipperary Garda Station on 062 80670, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
