Would you buy from a second hand retailer? I saw someone buy a Vodafone smart prime from a Cash Encounters the other day for 45 euro which seemed a bit of a bargain. If you could stretch to 135 you could buy a new Moto G which should be better than you'd expect and accept at that price.

I had a Samsung galaxy mini before and it was ok but the battery was terrible
