Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Found a dog

We found a dog last Saturday the 3rd of December. A male black whippet/lurcher. Posted on various facebook pages that we found and location. Nobody has come forward to claim ownership. Went to local maxi zoo on Sunday afternoon to check for microchip but unfortunately nothing. Asked on facebook could anyone take him in until a new owner was found. So far we have had no luck.

We currently have two dogs in the house and we cannot keep him much longer. I am looking at other options like a dog pound. Can anyone recommend a pound that can take him in over the weekend?

Also how do pounds normally work, will take keep the dog until they are rehomed or are they put down after a certain time?

Any advise on this will be great thanks

    Location is South West Dublin

Pounds are usually open Monday to Friday.
You could try your local rescue we can't name rescues here but people local to you might pm you-rescues are very full at this time of year though.
Pounds can put a dog to sleep after 7 days but not all do for every dog, there's no guarantees unfortunately. It really is the luck of the draw.

    it's 5 days - not 7.
