Maths or TP?

Hi, I am considering doing either maths or TP in TCD. My aim after college would be to do research in theoretical physics and I was wondering which one would be more suitable. If I were to do maths I'd choose all the applied modules.
I heard that there are many experiments in TP. How helpful/interesting are these?
And what would I miss out on from TP if I chose maths, and vice versa.
    Thanks in advance.

Loads of people move from TP to Maths. Given your interests, I'd start with TP and make my decision when I've experienced the course and have a better understanding of the difference.
