I emailed you this query last night, but thought you might get to it quicker here.

I  was hoping you could help me, help my sister purchase some audio equipment from you as a Christmas present.

Her husband has a turntable - a Pro-jeck Debut III
He has never had it working and she'd like to buy him what he needs.

I have limited knowledge of audio gear but as it only has phono out I was thinking it needs a pre-amp, amp and speakers. Or a preamp and active speakers. Or a preamp/amp combo and speakers.

Is the least expensive way of doing this with something like the Pro-ject phonobox MM and active speakers?

The turntable will be in a sitting room about 14ft x 14ft.
Standmount speakers are probably preferable or something that can be wall-mounted
Her budget is between €150 and €400 euro.
She would probably prefer retro/wood effect speakers to very modern looking ones.

Could you please provide me with a couple of different solutions for her and I will direct her business to you?
