Query on rent supplement.

    hi

    I've agreed to rent out my apartment to someone who currently gets rent supplement. In order to receive rent supplement for my apartment do they have to reapply for the rent supplement or is it just the case of ringing the Social Welfare department and telling them about the change of address. The 2 apartments are just down the road from each other but there will be a rent increase as his current landlord has not increased the rent in four years.

    Once you are moving property it is seen as a new application im afraid

    I was afraid of that. Does anyone know how long it takes from applying for rent supplement to being approved.
