Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Big Phils got this!

After picking up a 1-0 win against Spurs on Sunday, a result that was important for United to gain ground on those around them - there is more Premier League action mid-week.

On Wednesday, Mourinho's team travel to Selhurst Park to play a Crystal Palace team who have had a mixed bag of results since the season began.

Alan Pardew’s side have only notched up three wins so far, with their last victory occurring against Southampton at the beginning of the month.

One thing they are not struggling for is goals though, Palace have netted 10 times in their last three games. United have scored 6.

Last time these sides met was Louis Van Gaal’s last game in charge of the club as United beat Palace 2-1 in the FA Cup final back in May.

Palace with such a rare shut out it can only be followed by a goal fest at both ends.

    Team News:

Crystal Palace will be without Jason Puncheon through suspension. The midfielder collected his fifth yellow card of the season during Saturday's 3-3 draw at Hull and serves a one-match ban.

Defender James Tomkins has picked up a groin injury and joins Bakary Sako, Steve Mandanda, Loic Remy, Connor Wickham and Pape Souare on the sidelines.

Provisional squad: Hennessey, Ward, Delaney, Dann, Zaha, McArthur, Ledley, Townsend, Benteke, Speroni, Lee, Fryers, Campbell, Flamini, Kelly, Cabaye, Phillips, Wynter.

Manchester United will be without injured midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Mkhitaryan was stretchered off in Sunday's home win against Tottenham, but his ankle injury is not as bad as first feared and boss Jose Mourinho hopes to have the Armenian back in contention for the Boxing Day visit of Sunderland.

Mourinho must decide whether to recall Eric Bailly, who stepped off the bench at the weekend after recovering from a knee injury, or retain Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo at the heart of the defence.

Provisional squad: De Gea, Romero, Johnstone, Valencia, Fosu-Mensah, Jones, Bailly, Rojo, Darmian, Blind, Young, Fellaini, Carrick, Herrera, Pogba, Lingard, Mata, Martial, Rashford, Rooney, Ibrahimovic.

Going for a wee win for United to make it something of a winning run and possibly the start of actual winning consistency rather than drawing consistency. Worried about our RB with Val out and their pace on the wings so we may have to score a few goals to get the win here though.

We've Palace away at the weekend so will be interesting to see how they get on tonight against Utd, I'd expect Utd to have enough to beat them by the odd goal, still though, Selhurst is never an easy place to go and play and Pardew has to start picking up points at some stage.

They've shipped more goals than everyone but West Ham, Hull and Swansea and on the other hand, only the current top 4 in the league have scored more goals than them so it should rain goals.

Can see Palaces wide players causing us a lot of problems, Blind at LB is solid but the pace of Palace could cause him a problem

Zaha to score as former united players tend to do that against us

United line-up lacking a little bit of pace :/

No, he's back in the game. Darmian is still warming up.

Weight as well get used to playing without Bailly. He'll be gone to the ACN for January anyway!
