Yeah there were a lot of hunzos at it last year but that seems to be the way for any major festival these days.

Day festivals in close to the city centre are always gonna attract that sort of crowd, FF is nowhere near as bad as Longitude in that regard though!

The Sunday is shaping up pretty nicely now, should be a good weekend

Different strokes for different folks and all that but IMO the Sat & Sun of FF for €110 is an absolute bargain than to pay €240 for the weekend of EP with that line up.

Fair enough it attracts a different crowd and a few 'hunzos' but the line up in comparison is outrageously good. Orbital, Booka, Hot Chip, Maceo Plex, Moderat et al.

There doesn't seem to be a volunteer tab on their website but maybe post on their Facebook page or message them there.

Can't remember if I posted this before but Aphex Twin's first gig for what must be at least 4 to 5 years, last December in Houston, Texas at the Day For Night festival. Keep in mind that nightfall has fallen fairly quickly there so you can see the lights, lasers and visuals pretty clearly. if memory serves me about his 2011 performance, a good deal of his set was in the daylight for at least three quarters of an hour so the visuals were sort of diminished although nothing wrong with the music mind. This is why I think his set would be better appreciated in a large marquee and why he should be at Electric Picnic playing at later hours in the Electric Arena.
