    Hi folks,

I am looking to get a bit more serious in the duathlon/adventure race circuit next year. I am looking for advice on gear, what to wear, and any advice best places to purchase. Thanks.

You might need to be kittted out slightly different. Duathlons tend to be short enough so you don't need loads. I just wear a Tri suit with one piece of under armour underneath for the colder ones, maybe a light pair of gloves( more so for the bike). Adventure races are that bit longer so you can spend a bit longer in transition putting layers on if you need to. Have a look on wiggle, their dhb brand is good and I find them good to deal with, no problem with returns

Lots of places having sales at the moment so some good deals out there. Sigmasport.co.uk have some good prices on tri suits at the moment, plenty of options and prices. Even better delivery than wiggle, I ordered a helmet on a Tuesday lunch time and had it by Thursday. I find aldi and lidl thermals pretty good too, Dunnes and Pennys have some as well that can be decent. The only thing that I'd add to what JM said is a buff. Handy to have, can start off as a hat on the first run of a duathlon until you get warm and then just pull it down over your neck. That and a good gilet would be my recommendations.

Depends how much ya wanna spend I guess and can start off wearing running gear and progress to more specialised triathlon cycling shoes and triathlon running shoes and tri cloths

As for buying gear some of the below are good. Find something ya want and shop around a good bit as prices vary a lot and some French and German sites have some unreal bargains.

    bobshop
    CyclesetSports
    Bike 24 GMBH
    Wiggle
    Chain reaction
    Amazon
    Ebay
    Evans
