transferring US dollars in Offshore account to AIB current a/c ?

I worked in the middle east for a few years earning US dollars payed into an Offshore dollar account with Lloyds ..... what is the most efficient and cost effective way to transfer lets say $50,000 back to my AIB current account here as I looking to build a house ? Thanks in advance for any help and replies.

Use an online currency broker such as Currency Fair.
