New phone needed

My phone gave up on me during the week. I'm just getting a black screen. If if this was fixable, it was giving trouble in other ways before this. The battery was quick to drain and I found 8gb was too small even with a memory card. I had a moto g. But what can I expect from a two and half year phone. So I need a new phone.…

So I need a new phone. I was considering the moto g4 as that is 16gb, or is it, and it takes memory cards as well. But one thing I read that its not waterproof. I don't plan on dropping it down the toilet or anything but it rains here in Ireland, surely a waterproof phone is needed.

So does anyone have any recommendations for a new phone?
