Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Surprised there's no thread created for a big Premier League game. I think Walcott is wearing a rugby jersey.

City dominating in all but the score

Creating nothing though. Arsenal can play on the counter now and will probably score again.

Can't see where they gonna pull an equaliser from??

City winning the possession stats, that's about it

Can't believe how easy the goal was, well finished by Walcott but himself, Sanchez and Bellerin went completely unchallenged. Bellerin's a quick lad but all he had to do was stroll about 70 yards from his own box without any pressure.

    Not looking good for Alexis

Arsenals title hopes could go down the drain if he is out for any decent period of time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

That was all very easy. Offside though.

1-1 Sane. But should have been ruled out for offside.

That sky offside line looks completely wrong

    Offside.

    *Sigh*

As offside as Monreal was for the disallowed Arsenal goal

I think Guardiola has got amongst them at half-time.

    What does that even mean?

    Well done cech

    Ozil is a disgrace.

Arsenal slumping at a bad time of the year.
They really need a draw at least.

Silva clearly makes a (shìt) attempt to get on the end of that ball from an offside position. Should it not be called as offside or did that rule change?

Arsenal really need to freshen things up with a new manager. It might backfire but they really have to try something new.

Indeed and they've blown 6 points from winning positions this week.*

*assuming they don't score in the next 6 or so minutes

Poor from Xhaka. Put Elneny in a hole

So if Arsenal can equalise we could cancel the sacking?? They aren't exactly 10th in the league 15 points off the top.
They did poor on Tuesday but most teams will lose at City

3rd but it's the same thing every year. Players seem comfortable. Would you not think a change might be exactly what they need.

It's the way Arsenal Arsenal their way out of contention that is so annoying for supporters - weak willed when under pressure. Sanchez has been on holiday.

Let city away with deliberately fouling to stop the attack by blowing up as soon as Arsenal take the free?

Arsenal don't have a winning culture and that seeps down. It's Champions League every season and they're happy with that. It keeps the money rolling in for the shareholders.

    Pretty stirring stuff there.

I won't comment on Sanchez performance.....too soon for me to :p
But they won't win the league unless they improve the squad significantly & the club clearly isn't prepared to do that even judging by the contract negotiations it shows. Their squad isn't above where it is now, 3rd or 4th.

"Two signings from winning the league" has been the mantra for a few years now - Cech, Ozil, Sanchez, Xhaka, Koscielny etc. Players matter but managers matter MUCH more (hell look at the underforming flotsam and jetsam Klopp has been working with in the last year!)

****e second half performance from Arsenal.

Sanchez and Ozil (both of whom apparently are looking for massive pay rises) might as well not have been on the pitch in the second half, they were pure useless.

Arsenal just have no guts and as usual just when they get in a position to look like they can contend they **** themselves. No doubt they'll go on a great run again ounce they are totally out of contention and there is no pressure on them.

Arsenal are such a joke at this stage.

Might be the most important three points of City's season. Some result.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Pretty damning if true (from guardian)
Apparently today was the first occasion since 2012 that City have fought back from a half-time deficit to win a game.

A cracking game for the neutrals I'm surprised it was not a bigger thread

2 patchy defences but I thought city deserves it could have scored 3.
there 2nd half was better than Arsenal excellent start

I absolutely love Arsene Wenger's post match interviews after a defeat. He always comes across as a small, spoilt child.

    Big result from City

So two 2-1 defeats in a row for Arsenal and according to Wenger it's all down to officials' decisions.

Is he just deflecting from his players or deluded?
