Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Everton won't be getting near the CL places

Not to derail this thread but Everton have no hope of catching 4th at the moment, theyre 9pts behind and have a vastly inferior goal difference making it 10 points to Liverpool in 4th.

Theyre 7 points behind City in 5th.

Everton well finish 7th, thats just their level at the moment, maybe next year will change if they bring in the right players.

Mounier on loan from Bologna to St Etienne happend this weekend.
And now St Etienne wants to get rid of him already because the fans dont want him.
Used to play for Lyon, and while at Nice celebrated a goal against St Etienne a bit too enthusiastic in the past.
Was about the most hated player in St Etienne from that moment on.
Manager didnt really want him either.

Shows you how thick some owners/club presidents are and how detached they are from the real fans.

An interesting team, really improved over last couple of seasons with Emre still pulling the strings.
However if Ryan Babel can move to the top team(Beiktas) and start banging in goals it doesn't say much for the league in general

Is Sky Sports News not free anymore? Just seen an advertisement for a day pass for £6.99 to watch all the drama of transfer deadline day. LOL

Probably their worst transfer window in some time. And Jim will continue to embarrass himself with the "hype"

Hate him with a passion but to be fair, he scored a few at Deportivo in the first half of the season as well.
Cant wait for the moment Danny Blind selects him for the Dutch team.

But yeah, Turkisch league is a league for the early retirees who want to fill their pockets but dont want to get too far away from home.

I'd be surprised if we were after Dembele at all and its just ther rags drumming up something to report.

We've already got a younger and as talented CF scoring goals in the Championship.

With 7 games tonight, I cant see much business been done by the EPL sides anyway.

Sky will hype it to death but I havent see as many cringey ads this year as I have in the past.

Not the same any more.... I miss Harry in his car telling us he can't talk about a player but if was available he'd love to have him as he's a 'triffic player

Seems like nobody has really gone crazy in January. Most of the deals are fringe players coming and going from the premier leagues bottom half and the championships top half.

Jese who looked like he could be a decent player at Madrid and then left to go to PSG for game time has now gone on loan to Las Palmas. Some drop for him

Haha if Harry is not hanging out of his car is it even a transfer window! I know he can be a tool but you would miss him.

Sky sports have started scraping the barrel by comparing emojis on twitter between Everton and Liverpool. Apparently Liverpool have a sad smiley and Everton a happy one. What a crock of ****

Christ, I assumed he'd wait until the summer, he'd probably have got a slightly bigger move too.

I think thats a stepping stone move for Bailey who could easily go for double that figure in 18-24 months, it just gives him a bigger stage to showcase his talent.

    15m I heard, but still...

A great amount for a club like Genk, and the kid really is a great talent. Curious to see how he'll develop in the Bundesliga.

I think the clubs no longer need to panic buy, I'd say every club wanted to add a player here or there but the figures and availability of who they wanted wasnt there.

Theres rarely any value to be had in Janaury, a few exceptions like Suarez to Pool stand out.

Jese refused to move to 'Boro, even links with Karanka couldnt tempt him to the north of England. :o

They just sold Ndidi to Leicester for more than that too. Some great players have come out of their academy so they should reinvest it in that (Benteke, Courtois, de Bruyne, Carrasco etc.). And some average ones like Origi

    Completely forgot about that.

Yeah, their youth academy has been fantastic for years now, no doubt they'll pump some of the money back into it.

Ajax was busy with Bailey last summer. From what i read back then you dont only get the player, you also get the dad, who is a bit of a twat.

Ajax now in for some Brazilian 19 year old who played 620 mins for Sao Paulo who has a €15 million price tag on his neck.
Probably 10 of those because he is Brazilian.

Bailey seems a bit of a mad yoke. Saw him play at Turners Cross last year and he's very talented for sure, amazing change of pace from standing position. He was constantly, constantly moaning at his team mates, even when he played bad passes. Should be entertaining to watch for sure though.

Not a great advert for the standard of medical services in Scotland if they can't scan a knee

Ya, I was at that game too, he should have been sent off for a wild elbow and was panto villian for the day, was only taken off to stop him from being sent off but you could see his talent clearly.

It could be a specialist hes gone to see, happens often when players will travel to other countries to see the best of the best in a certain field.
