The Udenze family, very crazy and random story at the time. Had some great scenes and dialogue at the time and some that were very cliche and bordering on racist by the producers.

Neo-Nazis spark hate-filled email
campaign over RTE soaps love story

ENRAGED racist thugs are
running a hate-filled
campaign against soap Fair
City.
The crazed neo-Nazis are
demanding that RTE bosses
rewrite the show because of a
"sick" interracial love story in
the top-rated RTE show.
Teenage characters Louise
Doyle and Joshua Udenze shared
a passionate on-screen kiss last
week.
But racist gangs have started
bombarding RTE with abusive
emails because Joshua is black
and born in Nigeria.
A leading Nazi, using the
identity of Irish actor Tony
Scannell, is behind the campaign
of hate.
The Irish Sunday Mirror had
previously revealed the
extremist leader was hiding
behind Scannell's on-screen
character Detective Sergeant
Ted Roach from the TV series
The Bill.
The neo-Nazi organiser
is calling on racists to send
emails to RTE demanding an end
to the interracial storyline.
He said: "This week the sick
storyline in Fair City is openly
promoting race mixing.
"RTE should show leadership
on issues like this - not only do
they not condemn race mixing.
but they actually promote it."
He added: "This type of
storyline in Fair City sends out
the wrong message to young
Irish girls - that its okay to go
out with blacks."
The leading Nazi has called on
other crazed racists to bombard
RTE with emails.
He said: "This sort of sick
propaganda cannot go
unchallenged.
"We need to email the
programme and let them know
how decent Irish people feel
about this."
The fascist thug has also called
for Nigerian actor George
Bwanika Seremba. who plays
Joshua, to be BANNED from
RTE television shows.
He said: "The very same guy
appearing in Fair City also
features on an early morning
children's show on RTE 2
speaking directly to the kids via
stories for youngsters."
He added: "Now that is
repulsive propaganda."
RTE bosses have refused to
officially condemn the racist
campaian.
A RTE spokesman said: "We
have no comment on this issue."
But a source within Fair City
claimed the writers and actors on
the soap were disgusted their co-
workers were being targeted by
racists.
He said: "RTE are not saying
anything because they do not
want to get involved in
controversy.
"But the actors and writers on
the show are disgusted and angry
that these young people are
being targeted by Nazis."
He added: "These racist morons
belong back in the stone age and
they have no place in a modem
Ireland."
The Nigerlan-bom Fair City
actor George Seremba claimed
he was not surprised to be the
target of racists in Ireland.
Mr Seremba said: "I have
encountered racial abuse in
Ireland. I have been spat at on
the street and subjected to other
forms of equally vicious racism."
RTE introduced the new
Nigerian family to examine the
different attitudes Irish people
have to race.
Fair City spokesman Tara
O'Brien said: "With the new
Nigerian-born family we will be
shining the light on a new
multicultural Ireland and
looking at the different attitudes
people have to the new Irish."

On a serious note, here is a rather disturbing thread by a ahem, "nationalist" Forum discussing some aspects related to the story.
Not nice reading but it shows you that some of the stories in the past were taken very serious, this time sickeningly so, compared to the ridiculous nonsense like women being locked in a box for a year and contrived "plans" and "take away liver transplants"

As I said, very disturbing opinions on the thread but I thought I would draw attention to it. When I googled Udenze story Fair City the other day this emerged on google results list

Stormfront is a proven breeding ground for people who go on to commit violence. There have been a couple of high profile crimes committed by people who openly posted their beliefs on that forum.

I don't understand the problem with Petes suggestion that the Chili brothers give the leftover food to the homeless shelter and let them dole it out. Why does Jake not want to do that? I guess it's just an excuse to have Pete fall out with everyone.
