February tomorrow, any sign of Zoe? How awful is that? Between 100 script writers not one of them remembered she was going off for a 2 week break early December and now we are heading into Spring and there hasn't been a sign of her and not even a late explanation or mention as to how shes coping for money, maybe she feels like coming home and being with kids her own age and eating home cooked food and, you know, going to school and seeing her parent.

Surely to God by now the foster services have been notified? School would have notified Dermot by now, then when they got no answer the cops would be notified then they would find out hes on the run after ripping off the local millionaire and has no plans to come back anytime soon, and on that note the hospital would not just accept a man who was recovering from a major operation to just WALK OUT WITH NO MEDICATION NO CONTACT DETAILS NOTHING. Jesus its bad, these faceless scriptwriters have a lot to answer for.

If there ever is a day where Boards.ie meets a "Fair City script writer or producer" ill be bringing these shocking details to their attention.

This storyline should win an award for making the least sense in any tv show EVER.

And I'm including Twin Peaks in that!

There is plenty of info available online about high profile kidnap cases.
Anyone can google it. Why didn't FC make their story realistic
when they chose to use it as a sub plot? I suppose they caught
a bad dose of lazyitis. Very irritating to watch.
They are so incompetent, it beggars belief.
As Victor Meldrew might say: "I don't believe it"!

I don't want to watch violent, harrowing abuse on t.v obviously.

    but.....................

The poor girl should be having an nervous breakdown at this stage surely!!!!!!

The scary part is that FC think their story lines are good

It even feels like two different kidnap stories, there was the first part where KT was revealed to be in the cell and taking orders from a creepy unknown voice (ok ok we knew it was LH but it was still weird), they actually managed to create a few intriguing moments of drama and tension. But its almost as if Writers 1-50 wrote the "Kidnap to Reveal" story, now Writers 50-100 haven't a clue how to end it, it could go either way now and is actually so incredibly played out and boring that I just glaze over when I see KT lying on her bed.

They have completely ruined what could have been a brilliant storyline by prolonging it to the point of stifling boredom. Surely even whoever plays KY must be in despair deep down at how sh!t the story has become. Myself and Builderplumber were 2 of the stories biggest defenders but now I couldn't care less if he lets her go or cuts her throat. Too little too late.

I think the character Max would have been a perfect first serial killer for the show, he didn't seem to do anything except standing around looking gormless, whatever was the point of him ?

The entire "Plan" storyline has been a bit of a disaster and a low point for FC. They've taken a number of different sensational plots and thrown them into the same storyline : Paul's affair, Niamh desire for revenge, Dermot's terminal illness diagnosis, Dermot double crosssing both the Brennans and fleeing the country etc. The episodes where Dermot flees were so confusing as they had about 500 elements going on at the same time.

It's probably going to end up with Paul and Niamh back together and Dermot back working as an accountant, making it the greatest load of nonsense ever.

with all the shouting and roaring from Paul i thought Ben did quite well on the acting front, it is a good laugh though the scene at the end with Leo and the gang vs Paul was funny

Oh it absolutely 100% will end in Paul and Niamh back together, that's up there with taxes and death as a certainty. Shes an incredibly weak woman, she has no ties to that man at all, none of the children are hers, she could divorce him, get half and walk away in the morning and start afresh, instead of making up these pointless elaborate revenge plans that will go NOWHERE because she always ends up back with Paul when all is said and done. Such a spineless woman.

I'm taking bets that its September this year when they are back living together. ;)

You really let this Paul and Niamh getting back together thing get to you, don't you!! :D
In real life, I wouldn't wish them on anyone bar themselves!

It just annoys me because Niamh gets so much airtime and all of her stories revolve around being with Paul/being angry with Paul/considering leaving Paul and she always ends up back with him which makes practically all of her scenes utterly pointless. She couldn't even have an affair and shack up with another guy without getting back with Paul, most spineless character on the show.

It is very easy to research anything nowadays.
This is why I can't understand the failure of the researchers to write a realistic script.
Katy's kidnap is one and Dermot's liver transplant is another example.

They are treating the general audience as if they are soap junkie idiots. It hasn't occured to them that the audience might want plots that are at least nearly plausible. None of us expect much from a soap, but FC has less credibility than Ballamory.

"What's the story in Ballamory, wouldn't ya like to know? What's gritty in Fairly Sh11ty, nobody seems to know."

You know the tune. May your own minds up.

I'm waiting for an episode to start with Jo waking up in bed n Dermot coming into the room from the shower and the whole last year has been a dream...Dallas style!
It's the only escape from this tedious storyline!

Wouldn't it be hillarious if they did! And they'd get credit for showing a bit of balls.

He was portrayed as this slightly posh rugger fella who was out of place in Carrigstown:D

I find Ben's voice really weird. I know the chap's voice hasn't broke yet but it's very screechy and effeminate or something. It can really reach a high pitch.

I'm going to go against the grain and say Niamh and Paul don't get back together for at least 2 years :) I don't know why, i just watched the show during a lot of years when they weren't a couple and they survived. Maybe they're not able to live apart any more?

I was to be back to work now post glandular fever and pneumonia. However infections keep recurring and my GP is sending me to a 'Chest Specialist'. My dad's death/funeral etc probably set me back. So off work for at least 2 more mts.

The bad news is i'm going to be around here for longer :D
