No. They're waiting for the other 20 or so cast members to get wind of it so they can take a cut. I hear even KT gets a cut!

And you never know, if Paulio plays his cards right maybe he'll even get a cut! It's FC afterall.

Will Ciaran use his mysterious Subaru to transport KT or will he use Fran's van?

Think Ben is being very ungrateful after Dermot taking him on that magical whistle-stop tour to lovely Cavan.

Why was the Don wearing his three piece suit tonight, he's hardly back to work already? Speaking of attire I forecast that Cristiano will be wearing that ridiculous scarf for the next three months. I think they could have substituted a northside pidgeon with a wooly cap for Doug tonight and nobody would have noticed the difference

    And btw Ciaran and Katy....

When are they gonna leh her ou

See Ciaran let himself into the O'Brian house and 10 seconds later Stripy and Emmett walk in.. FS, really, would they not have seen him? ......

"when is the Speakeasy opening" someone asked Oisin, "soon" he says, FS they still have to get planning permission.

Sorry now but how else were we to know that he was camp if he didnt flamboyantly throw his scarf round his neck every 20 seconds! Its gay pose 101!

Much like Laura and her ' hold a mug like a builder ' stance.
Its the law ..... lesbians can't hold a mug by the handle. Sometimes I forget shes a lesbian. Then I see the mug hold and I go...... 'ah yes a gay!'

The director likes the ole paint by numbers formula.

Bette, are you the poster who always gets annoyed with the way Laura holds her mug? :D.... I've noticed the mug handling by Laura since it was mentioned about a year ago, was that you?

It's funny because it's all so true. She also does the lesbian hand tuck a lot too.

FC payroll must've tripled tonight. Out of all the regulars standing around in the hospital would not one of them thought "I should ring Jo"?? Her absence is actually gone beyond a joke right now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 735 ✭✭✭youwould

Where is Deirdre? I have forgotten.

She came home from America to attend a family funeral in Mayo and also told Dermish that Jo was shacked up with Bin's doctor's brother. I know she went back to America. How awkward would it be if she and Jo were still around each other and yet Bin is back in Ireland with the past 6+ months? :D

The whole Dermot story is a joke. As fsar as I can see, he hasn't gone next nor near a doctor or a hospital in the last three months. Next thing we know, he's in a private ward with seats for an audience. And a team of specialists around him.

Good luck with that in real life.

I can see LH getting shot in the head and Dermot getting his liver.

    More plots.
    03/01/2017

With Dermot's prognosis uncertain, Jane refuses to give in to Niamh's demands. Meanwhile, Renee welcomes Heather's release from hospital, but the ex-patient has a surprise in store. And Ciaran cannot contain his disgust about Farrah and Emmet's romance.

    04/01/2017
Dermot comes close to accidentally revealing the truth about Niamh's plans to Robbie, and Ciaran spots his chance to make a move on Farrah after Emmet cheats on her.

Farrah : "Do you not have a girlfriend anymore, Ciaran?"
L/H : "Well, to be honest, I do have a girl tucked away somewhere, but I don't know where it's leading to yet"

I am sure by now even the most diehard fc fan would agree that the kt/ciaran storyline is a complete farce, how would you have done the storyline? I would have had ciaran be fc first ever serial killer. Kt would have been just one of many missing girls he would have murdered by now.

I noticed BuilderPlumber hasn't even being defending the show lately!

Just joking BP, I do respect your dedication to the show! :)

LoveHate, after the girl he has kidnapped for 7 months suggestion that he gets her her personal belongings from a house he spends most of his day in:

"No way, I am not a thief"

I agree 100%. I was actually one of the staunch defenders of the storyline as I was fascinated by who was doing this and more importantly the motive- there was genuinely a few credible suspects in Cathal, Stella or maybe even a serial killer as you say. I know some people were adamant it was Ciaran from the very start and deep down I did too but for a few weeks there I was willing to think just maybe, it might be someone else. It was all going well until the reveal. That's when things went downhill fast...

Its laughable to expect the audience to believe one man was behind all of this- holding down a full time job, entertaining a girlfriend who he often spent the night with, helping this family he barely knew put up flyers all over Ireland, as well as providing his captive with 3 meals a day and all her essentials. absolutely impossible for one man to do all that, and they even contradicted each other a few times in the script re: Where Ciaran was and how often he spent watching Katy.

If they had left it at the excellent episode in November where Love Hate dropped her off but then she took his phone it would have been barely tolerable but now as you say its a joke, a farce and laughable, they have taken a great storyline and urinated all over it from a massive height. The two of them are practically a couple now and there is no sense of threat or tension in the story. Katy also seems to just accept everything he says now. Its awful and a classic example of what happens when script writers drag out a story too long.

Maybe they are doing it because they don't know how to end it, maybe they haven't a replacement storyline ready yet to back it up, maybe they hate boards.ie posters and are doing it out of spite, God only knows! All I know is I just laugh at the story these days.

The thing is, it was never a great storyline. It was a good storyline concept that could have been very good if they had the writers and actors to implement it and pace it properly. But you can say that about every plot, even Charlie and his bunnions.

Well that's what I meant and up to the reveal I did actually think it was great. When she first went missing there was a decent month long build up of who it could be and a few clues thrown in here and there. If it had been someone random that would have been a great and dark twist to the story but the combination of it being so obvious it was Ciaran, Debbies complete indifference to the fate of her daughter, the stupidity of the O Brien family to not even question this new stranger and of course how long it has been going on has ruined the story for me.

Line of the night from Ciaran last night to Katie : "You'll need to get some rest "

F**ks sake she's sitting on a bed locked in a room all day !! Hardly a bleeding labour camp !! 😧

Ciaran threw katy's passport in to the toolbox with frustration.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

The annoying thing is the storyline should be true to life e.g Jaycee Dugard kidnap or the Ohio kidnapping case.

Fair City puts its stamp on it and becomes ridiculous.

I'm wondering will that come back to bite him? I'm hoping (really really really hoping) that someone comes across that toolbox, needs a screwdriver, and finds Katie's passport. (Hopefully in the next few weeks).

This story better develop soon. We're in a constant loop of Katie complaining, Ciaran telling her he's working on it, Katie looking happy and content, Both enjoying each others company, Katie complaining and so on.

Having said all that, I think it would be uncomfortable for the viewers if KT were subjected to continuous violence or sexual assault by her captor. Its a blessing for her that Ciaran isn't intending to hurt her.

If you ask me she needs a knock on the head or a kick up the arse to realise how fking simple it would be to actually escape.
