Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it possible to cast Play Music to an LG TV? I can cast YouTube just like you can to a Chromecast but I'm not getting a Cast icon with Play Music

I'm able to cast it off my laptop and phone to my tv so it should be available.

Lads, was trying to find this last night but best I could find by going into the app and clicking the shop link was free for 2 months. Anyone know if the 4 months free is still available an how to get it?

It looks like the 4 months offer has ended as it's now showing up as 2 months from a quick check here.

Previously it would have shown the 4 months offer by going to https://play.google.com (if the user was eligible) or while logged out such as in a private browser tab.

The Bravias are Android though. LG have their own OS.

That shouldn't affect Chromecast tho. I've had a LG TV before and chromecast works fine on it.

Is to op using a laptop or phone to play Google music?. Is Google cast enabled?

    Thanks for that OP.

I've just moved to Android from iOS and I find the Google music app awful.

Is there a way of seeing the contents of the recommended playlist?

Is there a way of adding Google Play functionality to the lock screen?

He's not talking about using Chromecast, he's talking about casting Play Music directly to the TV. It will work with an Android TV but not with others.

My apologies so, when I saw him/her mention Chromecast it threw me.

Its automated playlists (which it calls stations) for some reason doesn't reveal its contents, at least not when browsing the stations. It always plays the tracks shuffled and even then it doesn't avoid duplicates as it will quite often play the same song a few tracks later and occasionally it'll even play the same song twice in a row. The best workaround I could find to browsing a station's content is to first start playing the station, touch the playing song at the bottom and then touch the musical note icon at the top-right. It will show the next 25 songs queued up from the station.

For the lockscreen setting, on my phone (OnePlus 2), I go into the phone's settings menu, then go into Notification and then into Google Play Music. The setting on this screen 'Show on lockscreen' needs to be ticked. This setting may be in a different location on your phone, depending on the manufacturer's interface customisation.
