Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A true tactical genius. Clearly let down by his players.

The absolute state of him. He will probably end up on Lets Come Dancing or Bake My buns or similar

Jeez lads, its 3 days till Christmas. Not nice anybody getting the sack (expect if they did something illegal etc), especially this week!

And thus the Alan Pardew boom-bust cycle comes to its natural conclusion

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Normally agree, but sure to get another big payoff so he'll be OK.

Speaking of which, this is the perfect custom made squad for Big Sam Allerdicci

Yeah, It must be awful to get a 7 figure payment and know you have the whole Christmas period off.

Big Sam will be in charge there by Boxing day and he'll turn them round.

Ya, its not like Tesco or someone leaving going staff.

He'll probably spend the Xmas on a sun lounger counting money.

    No sympathy for Pardew.

  • Why is he so unlikeable....honest question?
I mean I don't like the guy either but when I stop and think about it im not 100% sure why :P

26 points in the calendar year of 2016. Hovering above the relegation zone after spending big money in the summer. No surprise he is gone.

Can't stand Pardew for many reasons and he's had an awful year with a talented group of players.
At the same time, I cannot abide that foppish bellend, Steve Parish either.
Palace have the best fans in the PL. They deserve better. Not sure they'd warm to Big Sam.

He was pretty nasty in that spat with Pellegrini (who is a gentleman)

He is supposed to have had an affair with the wife of Carl Fletcher (not the Carl Fletcher from Harchester Utd) who was one of his players at the time and then he transferred Fletcher when he found out about it.

To add to what people already said, if they want a new manager in, best to get one in asap before the transfer window. For the sake of the club, you want the new manager to have as much leeway as possible in the market.

A Chelsea supporter calling a club a joke for sacking a manager?
    Am I reading that right?

...and didn't he headbutt a player at a throw-in as well!

    No class....

Multi millionaire, who leaves with a multi million payout who will walk back into another multi million pound contract in a few months.

    My heart is breaking

Awful manager, seems to be a worse version of O Neill, once the motivation wears off he cant organize a defence and has zero tactical nous.

Something like 26 points in 36 games he managed, absolutely shocking, amazing he wasn't sacked long before.

He stuck the head in on David Meyler, he got a 7 game ban for it too.

49 points from his last 45 league games. Rubbish. Deserved sacking.

Palace should show some imagination and hire Gary Rowett

Big Sam written all over this anyway. No way should that club be near relegation anyway, they have a decent enough team, no reason 10th is beyond them.

If Swansea have any sense they will be the next ones to pull the trigger on Bradley.

Americans owners for ya, they know nothing about SOCKER. I remember Hicks and Gillette at Liverpool thought there was a draft pick! This crowd probably don't even know they can be relegated.

    *clears throat*
    • Headbutted David Meyler.
    • Called Pelligrini, one of the good guys in the game, an "old cunt".
    • Danced like a knobhead during the FA Cup final.
    • Constant strop throwing on the sideline, eg pushing a linesman.
    • His gigantic, astronomical ego. I particularly remember his smug demener in the post half interview with Newcastle after getting smacked 5-0 by Spurs, like he knew better than everyone else.

There's loads more but that'll do for now. Probably the most unlikeable character in football today, I hope this is the last we see of him.

No chance he's part of the bang average managerial merry go round now, and is certainly a shoe in for the England job one day.

Hel never manage england now, reputation in tatters after his last 2 or 3 jobs. A drop into the championship is probably on the cards

Interestingly, I thought that their win over Southampton and draw away to Hull a few weeks ago would save his job until 2017. Loses against Man United and Chelsea are hardly sacking offences.
