According to my inside information, someone in here might have got it :D

Fair play if someone in here got it.
    They got a bargain.

Delighted if that's the case. Think that's my good deed of the week there.

Wait, wasn't there someone here recently in the wanted thread/ioniq thread/some EV thread wanting an ioniq? Totally forgot about them until now.

I think I saw that silver Ioniq and dismissed it as suspiciously cheap.

18 to 21 k seems to be where 2017 Ioniqs are at these days.

Mind you I tend to be weary of stuff from dealers I don't know about.

I tend to pay attention to stuff from people like Phil Fitzgerald or from long enough established main dealers.

Feeling inclined to buy into a Zoe Ze50 with CCS when my birthday comes around in Sept.

Edit - for context Ioniq and Zoe are on my shortlist to buy. Still not sure what mileage to jump into the Ioniq bandwagon at.

So was it anyone here that got it? Or even viewed it?

No way a 2017 Ioniq will make €21k.
Ioniqs have dropped a lot in value, now that there's far more competition & accessible, longer range cars, like the ID.3, Peugeots etc. 2nd hand 64kWh Konas are appearing, near enough €30k too.

€18k from a reputable dealer so a non metallic 2017, in a private sale I reckon is worth €16/17k these days.

Jez, the Ioniq doesn't look a pretty car in that advert.
Its like something from 10 or 15 years ago.

All cars depreciate. Retaining 70% of it's value after almost 4 years is exceptionally good for a family car though. No other similar size car in the market depreciates this little.

Bought mine brand new for just over 25k, sold 3 years later for just under 20k

25k is the exception, rather than the rule of what the selling price was. More like 60% of their value now after 3-4 years

Mine was near 80% after 3 years. But even at 60% after 4 years, that is really good. I'd say the Ioniq is the lowest depreciating family size budget car of them all.

We'll see what 2021 does to them in a couple of months. Depreciation should slow down on them now.

In fairness pretty much all EVs have low depreciation compared to similar petrol / diesel cars. Even overpriced ones like the €39k Kona. Took a big hit of about €9k depreciation in the first year, but should really slow down now with no more than about €3-4k per year for the next few years

€ 45,342 for a 2020 Model 3. That a discount of €1,440 for anyone who likes chrome and doesn't like heat pumps.

And who doesn't mind a white car. I don't care about chrome or heat pumps, but that's a big ask :p

They also have 2 * Model 3 Performance for €64k and €65k. That's pretty decent value for a BMW M3 beating car, which costs many tens of thousands more to buy and many, many thousands more per year to run and maintain

No autopilot but a sweet deal all the same.

I thought AP was standard for cars of that vintage?

Nah. Not standard until some time in 2019 iirc. The hardware is there though and Tesla Sandyford have confirmed they can enable it for something like €2k + VAT (can't remember the exact figure)

We don't know for sure, but if the ad doesn't specifically say it has auto pilot and it is enabled, it's fairly safe to say it doesn't have it :p

Right, so for the good of the argument and in case it can help a prospective buyer on here, I contacted the seller and he confirmed the car DOES have autopilot and it is enabled :p

Why on earth did he not include it in the ad?

Isn't autopilot disabled when you sell the car? Or is that FSD?

What motorway range would you expect on it, say in winter on a cold windy day. Would it do Galway to Dublin without having to stop?
