It sure does! A full year's manufacturer's warranty left and 4 years on battery and drive train

Great car for relatively little money. I'd buy another in the morning if I were in the market for a second family car and my budget would stretch that far.

What is the realistic range on this at 100km/h on the motorway?

Leather heated seats in the description but not the photos, must e a dealer of sorts then?

Maybe. Only 2 ads on that account, but the floor mat papers suggest dealer, or maybe detailed. Wouldn't bother me anyways. Good car, big enough miles but for 15k or less you can't complain

    130km plus maybe.

My old 24 kWh leaf done 100km at 100kmph at 10 bars.

For the 28kWh Ioniq from my experience...

At 100 kmph About 160kms in the worst winter weather. You may get more but I wouldn't chance it.

About 200 in the summer assuming weather above 15 to 20 degrees C with no wind!

That's 100% full to zero battery, so you'll need to save a bit for a buffer as well just in case.

I'd probably knock a few km off that winter range. I've done cork-dungarvan and back in winter, which is 160km, and I think last I did it I had 14km remaining. No rain, or notable wind, just cold. Wouldn't of averaged 100km/hr though. I'd say 150km is probably pushing it in winter.

    180-190km in summer at 100km/hr

Knock a few km off winter his winter range which be said was around 160. Which you did 160 in winter with 14km left... I.e 174km total.

So his range was accurate to your experience with some left in the tank :)

If I wasn't currently buying a house, I'd defo be interested in it. Hopefully by the time I'm in a position to buy, prices will be even a bit lower.

By the way why are some of the main dealers so off on pricing. Surely no one is buying a 191 ioniq for ~27k?!

I was averaging no where near 100km/hr. Jack lynch tunnel + roundabout, Middleton slow down, castlemartyr slow down, killeagh village slow down, Youghal roundabout + bridge. I wouldn't expect 160km at 100km/hr in winter. That's 17.5kWh/100km

    Agree

I ran out (at my destination) at 150km in winter having rolled the last 10km or so on backroads
Watch out in the Ioniq, the second "half" is a lot smaller than the first!

That is annoying about some EV SOC's, i.e. not being linear

That's decent value. I wouldn't spend a cent over €10k on a Leaf though now we've seen Ioniqs for as little as €14k

There doing the same with an F10 M5. Trade sale and online only.
    Why is this?

Presume it’s Covid related, but no reason a private person couldn’t buy online

So if it's trade and online, couldn't anyone register and buy online?

Covid restrictions like the livestock marts?

From their site: 'By TRADE we mean you must be in the business of buying and selling cars and have a garage code.'

I'd gamble you'd get that bar back also if you did the firmware update.

I presume they don't want the any liability when the cars can't be checked in advance.

You need to be carrying on in a trade (ie have a trading number etc) or it's not allowed in level 5 lockdown.

Which is normal anyway at auction. Even for private buyers.

There's never any liability/warranty buying at auction. That's why the cars are cheaper.

It could only be for covid laws, level 5 means only "essential" trade, and not end customers.

Cheap Cars at auction are rare enough seems a bizarre scenario of people out bidding each other to the value of normal private sales.

For sure. You need to know what the private market price is and not overpay.
I've bought and sold yokes at Merlins (private person, not a trader) and you see the n00bs coming in and paying near retail for an auction car.

And now for something completely different :D

    OWNlMjVkYjkwMTliMDg4MGVhNjA3MzQ3MDhiOTgzNGKD7laDBwTqo1FhA0UYRO7UaHR0cDovL3MzLWV1LXdlc3QtMS5hbWF6b25hd3MuY29tL2RvbmVkZWFsLmllLXBob3Rvcy9waG90b18xNzI1MzM5OTJ8fHwxMjAweDEyMDB8fHx8fHx8fA==.jpeg

No idea if it's a bargain or not, but it could suit a green business startup maybe

2013 Leaf for €4k - only problem is that it can't AC charge :D

Fine for apartment dwellers with no dedicated parking / charging who do a low mileage and who live around the corner from an ESB CHAdeMO charger who want an ultra cheap to own and green car

Not at €4k though, but it would be a bargain at around the €2.5k mark. Possibly an easy enough and cheap enough fix either DIY or by an indy specialising in hybrids / EVs

Wow they were very quiet about not being able to AC charge, I'd have expected a warning in the title

They don't even explicity say it can't AC charge, only that it charges through the Chademo. Very cheeky IMO

Agree, €4k is very ambitious, I'd say €2k and leave some money to get the AC charger fixed
