Before I heard this I was going to see Rouge One. Still going will be sad for some. I remember they did the princess Leah hair in Friends as it was a fantasy of Ross. Up until recently I would not have known her name if asked a question but sad now she is dead. Was she meant to be in the next Star Wars movie

I'm just so bored of people going on about the 'curse of 2016'. What's even more pathetic is going on about rip as if her family are on an Irish chat forum now.

I'd be a George Michael 'fan'. I've most of his albums and seen him live. However, he'd passed the point a few years ago where he was releasing new music or going on tour. I'm not gutted or shocked or suicidal. I wasn't his mate. I didn't look to him for moral guidance.id no interest in his personal life. I enjoyed his music. Simple as that. He died at a young age because due to his 'lifestyle' not because there was a grim reaper called 2016 taking actors/music artists/ sports people.

If someone in your immediate family dies one is gutted-rightly so.
Upset when it's a mate or a more distant relation. This 'faux' sympathy for celebs/icons is plain tiresome.

How someone can be genuinely distraught at the passing of an actress who starred in an (admittedly) iconic movie is beyond me.

Was there a thread about aryan al kurdi like the ones here about George Michael and this one?

As a father to kids of a similar age I'd find that picture of that little boy pretty distressing. There's a bit of a difference to how he died compared to George Michael or prince.
