Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sanchez over Ibra at home to Sunderland?

Admittedly there's not a whole lot in it but surely the latter is a better prospect

Chelsea only put 1 past Sunderland, admittedly it was away, but Sanchez is involved in everything for Arsenal.

It's a tight one but Sanchez extra point for goal/clean sheet edges it for me

West Brom did very well away to Chelsea and I'd say Arsenal would be not as good in a battle as Chelsea.

My enjoyment over the next 10 days is based solely on how Walcott performs. Genuinely the decision I've struggled with most all season.

    OK - Gone with:

    DDG
    Rose,Cahill(vc),Reid,
    Allen,Capoue,Philips,Siggy,Mane(c)
    Tekkers,Kane

    Stek,McAuley,Daniels,Costa

Transferred Reid in for Fonte. Might take a -4 and bring in Zlat for Kane

I think I'm putting my eggs in the Sanchez basket. I want the guy who has contributed the most goals/assists combination there is, seeing as I'm just coming off 2 consecutive blanks from Kane.

Sanchez on 6 blanks from his 16 starts, Ibra on 17.

Ibra has managed 13 points once this season. Sanchez has also got 13 points once this season but has exceeded it 4 times with a very tasty 23 point score not so long ago and not much to call between Sunderland and West Brom in terms of quality of opposition.

    Forster
    Lovren, Holebas, Alonso
    Sanchez, Lallana, Pedro, Eriksen, Capoue
    Kane, Ibrahimovic (c)

    Jakupovic, Defoe, Amat,Evans

I fear a Stephens Day to forget:(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,502 ✭✭✭spock.

    Forster
    Alonso Koscielny Amat
    Pedro Sanchez(c) Mane Walcott Alli
    Ibra Benteke
    (Brunt Anichebe Daniels)

So many good fixtures = Guaranteed 20 point gameweek.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,722 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Going with this lot....feeling bizarrely confident...it's the hope that kills you

    Heaton

    Azpi Brunt Amat

    Capoue Lallana Özil Siggy Payet

    Zlatan (c) Defoe

    Foster Smith Pieters Costa

Edit: forgot I took a hit to get Zlatan in. And I'm basically relying on Amat and Capoue to have a decent gameweek. Also need Payet and Özil to perform big time....so my confidence is all the more inexplicable

    Foster

    Alonso Chambers Amat

Sanchez Walcott Ozil Hazard de Roon

    Zlatan (c) Kane

Feeling iffy about the captaincy like a lot of others - already have a lot of eggs in the Arsenal basket but considering a last minute change to Sanchez.

Good luck! I've a very similar team:
    Heaton
    Amat Alonso Holebas
Siggy Hazard Sanchez Payet De Roon
    Ibra (c) Kane

Benched Foster, Smith, Anichebe & Pieters

Talk of Ibra not playing today. Based on below tweet apparently.

    https://twitter.com/FFPundits/status/813329584162799616

Might be nonsense. There is also a confirmed list of players at Lowry hotel and his name is there.

That was mentioned here earlier. Doesn't look as if there's any substance to it, but sure for those who have already made the transfer what can we do now. The only unlikely scenario where one could still be hit by it is if he came off the bench.

Meh, I find the stuff hit and miss, and a tweet like this can be incredibly damaging. Two minutes research removed any doubt.

    Amat Evans Alonso
    Sanchez hazard firmino siggy
    Origi ibra Carroll

    In full-on fúck it mode.

    Pickford
    Jones Alonso Vertonghen
Hazard Sanchez (c) Phillips Alli Firmino
    Carroll Gray

A strikeforce to send shockwaves through FPL!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,274 ✭✭✭✭FHFC

Left captaincy on Sanchez. Such a 50/50 call between him and Ibra. The season thats in it one group will probably be heavily punished.

A goal from my shiny new Benteke would be a nice start to the week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,256 ✭✭✭✭km79

    heaton
    jones alonso amat
    siggy zaha snachex hazard
    caroll kane ibra captain

    foster capoue smith mccauley

all my attempts to talk people out of playing amat resulted in e being talked into it
not sure Bob Bradley will though :D
the dream of a siggy/amat combo goal lives on

Great attacking potential in your back 3!

    Heaton
    Alonso, Brunt, Amat
Sigurdsson, Sanchez (c), Walcott, Lallana, Pedro
    Kane, Ibrahimovich

    Pickford, Anichebe, Pieters, Ake

Last minute switch of captaincy from Ibra to Sanchez. Complete coin toss really.

Hopefully it will make up for my Hollywood front 2 (sorry SlickRic, I think I beat you on this one). Longer term though it's a tactic I guess, and I intend to add in Brunt gw22 :pac::pac:

    Foster
    Pieters - Holebas - Amat
San(C)hez -haz - firmino - siggy- De roon
    Kane - Origi

Well this week could really go either way. Budget defence with bad fixtures is not good. No Ibra means I'm in trouble if he explodes. But some nice fixtures in the front 7. I really need a Christmas present from Sanchez.

Anyways happy Christmas to everyone and may there be green arrows all round. This is usually the time of year whenall the extra time and effort put into the game is rewarded

EVERYONE has captained Ibra at top of my money league
    Most sold costa for him
These were the 2 weeks I was hoping to gain ground with a nice differential
    Costa is my Ff nemesis

9 of my starting 11 at home so in theory it shouldn't be a terribly bad gameweek...
