Christ the absolute needlessness of the hassle above post from your man in the States.

I wonder if any of those morons have ever actually enjoyed the actual concert experience?... Moving around, having a dance, trying to find a toilet, trying to find your spot, meeting others along the way equally as lost as you are, that first sip when it's your round before you turn around and realise you have to battle through 8 million people with 4 pints to find 4 people adjacent to a tricolor halfway up the pitch.

    Clowns.

I was at the show in Rome last Saturday.
    Its very good.

    Some pointers for anyone going:

    1. The time between acts is very long. U2 came on stage at 9.20pm

    2. There's not much shown of the band on the screen so if you're back far you won't be able to see them.

    3. Noel Gallagher was great. He should just do his own concert. Don't miss the support act.

    4. The opening six songs of U2 shook the house down. Powerful stuff. Don't miss the start.

    5. Enjoy it if you're lucky enough to have a ticket.

Raging to be missing tomorrows show. It's gonna be a special one no doubt!

I know with Springsteen his own security team and the aiken security all were involved with the numbers thing in the car park of croke park or the rds and helped run it.

I've seen some of the crazy people in the front row leave a gig before it was over a few times, once at a Springsteen show a group left missing the last 6 songs, just so they can get a low number for a show the next day. Madness.:eek::eek:

Just carry a Sharpie in your pocket, if any idiot gives you guff, calmly take it out, etch a big "1" on your hand and say 'oh, look at that!'...

It'll hardly be 9.20pm here? I made the last train at 11.30pm after Coldplay by the skin of my teeth-hoping to make the same one again!

I expect it will be late. The whole thing is a light show.
In Rome they waited for sunset to begin.
That is 9.37pm in Dublin tomorrow.

probably a bit earlier once the sun drops below the stadium but they won't come on until it is dark.

Have to be finished up by 11. They'll be on stage a good bit before it gets dark.

    Exactly this.

Coldplay seemed to time their show so that it ended bang on 11.

U2 will do the same. 8.45-8.50 start time.

If you are outside getting a beer or whatever and hear the Waterboys, get moving!!

If it doesn't automatically go to the new look page add a '1' after www. You can see what sections have seats and even choose a section and row.

I've seen there St Francis Hospice are selling two tickets to the highest bidder with proceeds going to the hospice, If anyone is willing to pay more than face value for a ticket reading this, it would be better to do so there than giving it to seatwave etc. I spotted it on their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/sfhdublin/posts/1829081537118543

Would the que number thing not be useless when the gates open and they all run too the barrier. Poor number 1 could be a slow runner and number 12 could get ahead of them ???

Even though the band are laughing all the way too the bank cause of them id say they feel a little embarrassed for these lunatics?? Even though they done that stupid Paris dance thing (if the Paris show wasant reschuled than this would of happened at Dublin 4 on the I&E tour lol)
