Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Replacing the battery in a SNES cartridge

Hi. My saved games in Super Mario All Stars sometimes disappear. I suspect the 20+ year-old battery in it needs to be replaced so I was wondering whether someone knows of anywhere in Dublin I could go to get it done?

I've looked up how it's done but it looks too complicated (e.g. it mentioned soldering, which I can't do) and besides, I wouldn't be confident in my ability to not destroy it.

    Thanks for your help.

The soldering involved is really easy and any beginner could do it. You'll need a game it screwdriver to open up the case.

Soldering isn't essential either, just clipping out the battery with a decent (knipex) pliers will do the job,and replace it with a good quality cr2032 battery. Too many people buy a load of cheap batteries off the likes of eBay and defeat the purpose!
