Anyone have any recommendations for a cheap & cheerful night NYE 2016 ? Funds are very limited and had thought dinner & movie but latest movie I can find is like 6.45pm start willing to travel outside the city. Not into mad drinking scene so alternative ideas would be appreciated

Nothing to do in Cork on New Years Eve. For anyone. End. Of.

    Bowling?

I'll be watching Graham Norton myself and cooking a nice Indian curry.

Haha have GN on to record. Looking more likely it'll just be an early dinner and home - did find fireworks display in mallow at 10pm but not sure it'd be worth the drive up

Franciscan well are doing 3.50 a pint tonight and you get lots of mixed nationalities drinking there, should be a good atmosphere there if your forced to the "drinking scene ".

Brought the whole family skating earlier and have settled on a night in instead - how boring :-)
Had a ball ice skating especially seen as how the 2.5 yo was nearly better than the hubbie lol

Will put the feet up with a bottle of wine and Graham Norton and enjoy

Thanks everyone. Happy new year to you
