Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Mignolet cool and calm
He can play, always could do that.
Shame he can't keep goal as calm

    Mignolet is only teasing Bravo

Madness... have you seen Everton this season? 50m is pocket change for City. They're buying a guy they think can develop into a top level player. Williams is not that player. If Stones was spanish and playing for Real there wouldn't be this narrative. People would just expect some growing pains. He's still incredibly young for a centerhalf.

He'll improve given time, and no doubt he was good 2 seasons ago at Everton. But for 50m I'd expect a lot more from a CB.

    Mig thinks he's playing 5 a side

City look a bit of a shambles here.

Too many good players though for it to stay that way. We must score again.

Bravo actually looks a bit miserable.

Fair play to Mig. Saying that if that had gone differently, I'd crucify him.

Awful from us so far; it looks like we could out there until midnight (even after Liverpool have gone off the pitch) and we still wouldn't score. Very disheartening. If we're going to lose (and we will), at least go down giving it a go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Mane needs to keep going at Kolarov, he's got him terrified.

    At 1-0 anything can happen.

Really poor from Firmino, come on, lift your fcuking head up!

    Booby F with a shocker

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Never seen a liverpool team with such little possession at home.

  • The amount of silly mistakes
Both teams so sloppy at the back

    Firmino... What are you at....

Remember this is Liverpool we're talking about. Could be 5-0 Liverpool or 5-1 City at the end of this. First 10mins after half-time always shows what Liverpool has really shown up today.

    Firmino is bloody awful

    Booby F with another shocker.

That's desperate, how can you step offside with a 1 yard pass. We play for 20 minutes trying to force a City mistake and when we finally get one we waste it, that may haunt us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,594 ✭✭✭kingshankly

    Firmino you absolute bell end

    Firmino is bloody awful

He's clearly not.. he's not playing great today but he's still liable to score/assist at any moment. but yeah... he's awful..

Sterling rattled to the point of about to do something stupid

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Well I'd have taken that at the start but I'd have preferred 3-0 Bobby!

Just realised I paused for 2 minutes earlier

Our plan is clear since the early lead, limit City's chances and punish them for their mistakes, we've done the former well. It only takes one good chance for City to get back in this, and I'm sure they'll get that chance, we can't be wasteful with chances of our own.

Really should be 3 up. But happy enough.

    We've been absolute pants.

    But winning.

Not sure what game you're watching, City have barely had a sniff.

    Raising a hand is dangerous.

the only thing I'm banking on is city can't be any worse in the 2nd half. Liverpool get an early goal it's game over.

    We've been absolute pants.

    But winning.

Firmino having a shocker in front of goal does not equal the team being absolute pants.

We've been comfortably the better team.

Absolute pants?? We have scored one, kept a clean sheet and look more likely to score than City. Looks alright to me.

Pool are containing City, almost mocking them. City will fanny about in the midfield and give Pool another chance.

Well if anyone was wondering how we will adopt to playing in Europe that first half was a real statement of intent.

I would say we have been comfortable but you know there is a mistake waiting to happen to break our hearts.

Only question in this game is how many Liverpool are going to win by. City are a bore to watch. Liverpool are mocking them at times. Liverpool need to get another goal here sooner rather than later.

Man City don't tend to progress to far in the CL though :)

City will create a opening and take it I would thing.
We need to take advantage of our own chances too if we are to win.

I'd expect city to be much improved in the second half and klavan to be targeted.
This is a long way from over.

Anyone else on the pitch.. Clyne can not get a goal.
