Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Will Clyne ever become a scorer, he gets chances like that 20 times a season.

I loved before the game when I think it was Micheal Owen described Pep's teams as "organised". They look awful organised already in the second half.

I'd expect city to be much improved in the second half and klavan to be targeted.

Yeah, they can't be as predictable and poor this half, you would think.

Klopp will have told players he expects City to improve and to improve themselves and not allow them into game.

    Thats a small warning sign.

City and Aguero are still very much a threat.

    Origi for firmino please

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

City are starting to work their way into this game, but luckily for them it is only 1-0.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Far too sloppy now, Can and Wijnaldum playing too far forward, relying on Lovren to pass it a lot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,564 ✭✭✭✭OwaynOTT

Firmino's touch is miserable tonight, is he drunk?

Luckily? At HT, there'd only been one shot on target between the two sides. We deserve to be behind, no doubt. But if there's only one shot on target, how can it be lucky to be only 1 behind. Possession means nothing, as we found out against 'Boro, Saints and Everton.

Some shocking passing by all sides, time for Origi I think,

Because Firmino messed up two glorious chances that you'd expect him to do a lot better at. Sometimes chances don't appear on the stat sheet.

Silva moved more central, seems to be working a bit better

However I'd argue that the quality on show from both sides is poor, some woeful passing and individual errors

Not been a good game to watch

Because Firmino made a shambles of 2 very good goal chances in the first half.

Bobby doesn't have shooting boots on tonight seemingly.

Yes. I get what you are saying, but one could argue City were lucky they just had one shot on target...
City have woken up and I think a leveller is coming.

Wrong pass Mane, Origi was in.

Well; is that us being lucky, or Firmino being poor? We can't control what Firmino does. Certainly not with our defence!
    :(

How is the linesman not seeing that? it's out of play by his feet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,636 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

Biggest difference since halftime is referee is giving all the 50 50 stuff to city, and none to Liverpool. Poulson having a very poor 2nd half

Yeah, both of these teams will finish in the top four. Quality of passing, in particular, has been poor for that level.
