    Hi all,
Just wondering what your thoughts are on the new legislation currently on its way through Europe at the moment regarding both Drone and RC Aircraft.

To be honest by the sounds of it, these new laws are going to completely destroy the hobby we know and love.

Some of the main ppints for Drone users are as follows: Drones we use as everyday users will be classed as either A0, A1, A2 or A3.

A0 are drones upto 250g in weight, will have a forced ceiling height of 50m and a distance from pilot of 100m

A1 are drones that are factory built, must be registered, minimum of 14 yrs old pilots, only fly within line of sight, 50m ceiling limited by manufacturer, weight up to 25kgs.

Note: Nothing weight limit between A0 at 250g and A1 up to 25kgs !!!!

After the A1 is the A2 which incorporates a 150m ceiling but pilots must have training and geofencing activated along with all of the already mentioned boxes ticked from the A0 and A1.
A2 will have to have E identification tech built in also which will enable the drone to transmit who owns it, what it's doing along with all other details.

Ive attached a copy of the proposed new legislation for you guys and gals to read.

It doesn't make pleasant reading and certainly puts a large question mark over the future of RC Aircraft and Drone flying as hobbies in this country.
