I'm looking for a 250 or 350 four stroke enduro. I check the usual donedeal etc but there doesn't seem to be many on the market. Any recommendations. Is it worth considering bringing in one from the UK. Any ideas on the cost of transport from Uk and the other costs involved.

Genuine competition Enduro bikes are fairly thin on the ground in this part of the world. Have you spoken with any of the off road shops in Dublin, CCM, Cotter's?

Have you contacted any of the NI dealers Norman Watts, Russells, etc?

Very few and very far between in RoI. The price of them new is a major obstacle- you'd want to be very committed to buy one..........not that they're cheap in the UK either, but the market there is considerably bigger.

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

A yamaha wr250f would be a great bike to start on. I started on a wr450f. It's a bit heavier, taller and more of a handful to get used to than a 250f but i'd still recommend them. I just ride in forestry trails with a bunch of mates, but if you were planning on going onto doing enduros and hare n hounds etc you'd probably be better off with a 250.

I reckon this looks like it's worth a look for the money...

This would be worth a look, its actually a 03/04 model as they didn't put e-start on them until then. Set of plastics and graphics would cost you a couple hundred euro and some tyres. you'd probably be all in for less than 1500

Am I missing something ? bike seems quoted at 2250. My Budget would be around 1500 coincidentally.

Think this is the same one, definitely a 03/04 model and a bit rough but for the price it should be a good bike http://www.adverts.ie/car/motorbikes/yamaha/wr-250-enduro/12121877
