I'm looking for light and cheap <e100 for a 25mm tyre. Stans crest rims (350g) are tempting but don't suit the tyre width, Stans grail look like next best but are 460g or so.
Ideally I'd like shimano rx830 rims but can't find them without the hubs...
    Any ideas?

Ultegras are tubeless- I'd imagine one could be got for that money

Edit- just looked and can't see a rim only deal anywhere

Thanks haven't been able to find shimano rims anywhere.

It seems that despite the industry pushing disc brakes and tubeless tyres there are still no decent rims around..

DT Swiss R 640 is decent and cheap as chips:

Comes in disc brake version too, R 640 DB

    http://dcrwheels.co.uk/products/rims/700c-rims/

Check out cycle clinic in UK also.

These sites are useful as these guys build lots of wheels and will give pro/cons of rims.

Sub 400g cheap and strong might not be that easy to find.

I've used the 460 rim Alek linked without difficulty

The new DT Swiss RR 411 DB look great. Interesting asymmetric rim for front and rear

Kinlin XR22T rim, 440g, substantially less than €100 and used by Cycle Clinic, Hunt, and a good few others
