Fair play to Stafford. Christ when I've anything wrong with a finger I'm afraid to put my hand in my pocket, there he is playing the entire game.

Have to disagree. I think Steelers have enough to beat Miami, particularly on the offensive end.

I think the Giants are legit. They have a great defense and plenty of ability on offence. They will need their stars to shine on the day. Manning and OBJ need to be on point.

On Paper the Steelers should win the game without issue but the Steelers have had issues with consistency this season and I think this is something that could do them over against the Dolphins. They also have a middle of the road run defense and the Fish if given the chance will take advantage of it and take the pressure off Moore. As I said the Steelers should win but this game could go horribly wrong for them and this gut feeling has me believing they will be the team facing the Patriots.

As for the Giants defense. True one of the Top defenses in the NFL right now but every team is 0-0 going into the playoffs and the majority of that Giants team have never been in a playoff game. The packers on the other hand have plenty of experience and the Packers are at home. If the Giants D dont get to Rodgers early the game will be a Packers win. For me regular season stats and how good a team was in the regular season means nothing. The Giants themselves know that they have won 2 Superbowls on the back of two average Regular seasons.

That time when Jones used illegal hands to the face to get away from Sherman on the last play of the game that wasn't called?

That happened too, so the penalties would have been offset and the game wouldn't have ended, Falcons would have had another chance.

So the Falcons would have replayed fourth down from their own 10 and no one knows what would have happened.

At the end of the day the Lions scored 6 points, the refs didn't cost them the game!

I don't see us beating the Falcons next weekend though. Too much firepower.

Can't see Seattle getting a win in Atlanta.

Yup but "half the one handed catches" by WRs are because they use their other hand to interfere with the defender.

Definitely PI but it was so subtle, could only see it in slow mo replay, compare that to how the Seahawks DB basically violate opposition WRs and no flag is thrown, its laughable.

Maybe the most one sided game of the whole season as far as officiating goes, but really not out of the ordinary for Seattle. I typically can't stand talk of refs intending for one team to win, but after years of this I really would not be all that surprised if some scandal broke about it down the line.

    Yes aka the correct call.

Don't know why you are focusing on that play so much its was the example I posted it just because it was literally the first tweet on my feed, there are tons of more examples.

I doubt this criticism is that much of a surprise, Seahawks are a good team and moving on to the playoffs but they get an ungodly amount of calls in their favor which is hilarious to the average fan whos team isn't playing them.

Probably between him and Rawls for best player on the field tonight. Rawls guys did their job though in making holes for him, Stafford's... that was one of the poorer games a WR corps has had that I've seen in a while.

    Let's just agree to disagree.

Overall the games today were disappointing as contests.

    I'll agree and disagree :pac:

Disagree that Seattle don't get favorable calls (although they would have won tonight regardless).

Agree that these "contests" were disappointing .No matter how much whiskey i drank, the games didn;t even get remotely interesting.

    Goodnight gents

Caught up on both games this morning.

Good God, even zipping through the Raiders/Texans game was a chore to watch. It somehow was a poorer game than we expected. Not sure how Del Rio didn't pull Cook; must hurt his and McGlions confidence going forward.

Even with some calls going the Seahawks way, they were the better team and got the expected win.

Probably two home wins again tonight. Steelers should take care of the Fins. Reckon Packers will win, but the game against the Giants could be the game of the weekend.

Surprised with the number of people picking the Giants to go to Lambeau and win.

The Raiders were disappointing. Matt McGloin was obviously not fit to play which makes me wonder why they didn't have somebody else who was fit to play. Cook could've been injured last night and they had no QB to replace him by the looks of things. It just seems a bit crazy to me to have only one fit QB when facing a very physical defense.

It's an overperforming Giants team who've sneaked into the playoffs without convincing too many people that they actually belong there, having to travel to Lambeau where they will be big underdogs.

Their name is practically on the ****ing trophy already.

With crabtree (listed as third choice QB) gone off injured, if cook did go down and mcgloin wasn't fit, who would have stepped in?

it's just 'nostalgia' for the last 2 SB wins. still, i stuck €10 on them to win it all at 30/1 for the lulz

As a Patriots fan I'd much rather see the Giants win all the way through and if we get there then beat them and put that curse to bed for once and for all.

Going for Levyon Bell as first touchdown scorer and for Jay Ajayi to score a touchdown anytime I think Steelers will win and I'm hoping it will be closer game than the 2 last night

Bill Burr providing live comedy for the Miami Steelers game.

Already good. Talked about how Suh isn't dirty, but the NFL got to clean. Kinda like how parenting has become. Wear a helmet on a bike until your 16 etc.

If you're a fan of Burr and his podcast, you'll probably enjoy it.

Thing is with the NFC is that the Giants were ignored due to "America's Team" winning a lot with a rookie QB and the Falcons putting up high scores on teams and the Packers not lighting teams up in usual fashion and the demise of the Panthers this season. No one focused really on the rest of the NFC well except for how bad the New/Old LA Rams are.

They didn't really sneak in the media were just focused elsewhere so didn't put any focus on them. They wont make the Superbowl though. I will stand up and admit I was wrong if they do but I just don't see it with the team they have.

    It looks cold in Pittsburgh.

    Well that was pretty easy.

    Good screen play

Jeez, that looked far too easy!

Great block from the WR there

-10 Celsius real feel of -15 Celsius we have similar weather here in New England also. Some really nice snow storms yesterday

That's exactly what they're saying it is in Lambeau as well, although the field definitely looks far more frozen when I saw it earlier

I was surprised to see it wasn't colder up there. It usually is when the whole country gets smashed out of it by the same storm.

Impressive start for Steelers Big Ben 6/6 100 and a TD

    Edit: make that 2 TD

My gut feeling wrong Dolphins clearly didn't turn up today

7/7 162 yds 2 TD. This is going to be a blowout.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Yeah, I don't see Dolphins coming back. Mental to say this so early, but yano, Matt Moore.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,298 ✭✭✭coco0981

Thats just too easy for the Steelers

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

7/7 162 and 2TDs in the first quarter.

Jesus, watching the Giants all season struggle to get anything near that level of production, and seeing Steelers make it look so easy against a good Dolphins D.

Dolphins look like there game day mindset at home, some bad attempt of a tackle by safety Rambo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,698 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

This could get nasty for the dolphins fast if they don't sort it out.

They really need to get it going at this point. Putting the game in Moore's hands will be their downfall
