Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    crazy decision

Feghouli did kind of launch himself but it wasn't a red

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

    Jones reaction didn't help.

Sky Sports coverage gone down hill. The commentators saying Jones was sent off when anyone could see it was a foul on Jones by the WH player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

Mike Dean is al ways trying to impose himself on the game. Unreal decision

He loves an auld red card does Mike Dean.

Did I imagining it or did the commentators call that as a red card for Phil Jones?

    Crazy decision

Harsh on West Ham, 50/50ish, barely a yellow.

  • Ref already lost control

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Mike Dean making it about himself again. Crazy red card.

He could well have been hurt. It was a crunching challenge but never a red.

Mike Dean is clueless. Appalling referee.

Lingard is a truly brainless player. Why the **** would you slide in like that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Looks like Dean thought that the west ham player went off his feet with studs up for that red.

piss off out of that, that is squarely on the ref, abysmal decision, and Jones never looked for a red or "tried to get someone sent off " as you imply.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,388 ✭✭✭✭Jayop

That was no free kick either.

    Actually on replay it was.

Tbf it looked sore regardless of the stupid decision

Ruins what would have been a decent game as well. Easy win for utd here.

What an absolute joke! He was 5 yards away and didn't even blow for a free until the Man U players surrounded him.
    Lingards challenge there was worse.

Pity that. Going to ruin what was looking a good match

Wouldn't mind but United have been terrible so far too.

Well done mike you've just killed the game ya clown

Ah it wasn't really. Neither were bad.

Let's be real, Lingards was not worse. Definitely an awful decision from Dean though

  • Time to grasp this now and put them to the sword

Don't think Jones was playing for a red but he leapt like a fish pulled onto a boat which was unnecessary.

Wrong decision for the red but to say lingards was worse is pretty pathetic really.

watching a different game pal, Mike Dean and Mike Dean alone made that decision, whinging about "players surrounding" is a bit salty.

Not even sure it will overly help us. West Ham to sit back now and we have to break them down.

Ibra and Pogba both looking very leggy so far already.

Silly fans booing Jones. Good thing they're so far from the pitch he won't actually be able to hear them.

Was this the challenge on the halfway line?

Coverage went for a second but I waa assuming he was talking about a different tackle.

    Atmosphere seems shocking.

To be fair I don't think any utd players appealed for a red. They were just as shocked.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,404 ✭✭✭✭vicwatson

It'll be rescinded but it has fecked up the game

Neither was even a yellow! Lingard's challenge was the only one who went in with the semblance of studs up.

    Really nice move there.

United need to be patient. West Ham down to 10 and the quick turnaround (same for both but tougher when a man down) should see spaces open up as the game progresses.

Pitch is weird isn't it. I have run a relay race in that stadium once upon a time.

United need to widen the play big time.

The only width we have atm is from Jesse and Darmian.Valencia getting so far and turning back. Most of the play is so congested chances are hard to come by.
