03-01-2017 9:11pmOk so im looking to upgrade my vinyl setup
I'm currently using this ball of sh1te
http://www.clasohlson....er/9149257908254.jpg
It was grand when I had cheap old records but I've been getting more and more higher end vinyls and I fear this player is damaging them
So I'm going to go for a decent setup. I have about €600-€900 to spend. I'm not looking for anything audiophile worthy but just something with a decent sound that won't damage my stuff. Also looking to have something that looks good as this will take pride in my living room
I was looking at this Roland
https://m.thomann.de/i...mp;search=1483108261
Mostly because I love the look of it and that's as far as I got.
I don't know anything about these setups or even what to look for so I was hoping someone here could help me out with a selection for a player, amp and speakers. Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks a million1

Apologies for the delay.
Having a look a the Roland over what you are using.
What you have is a little all in one setup, with built in speakers from what i can tell.
The Roland is like something that we stock but requires an amplifier and speakers to run along with.
Have a look a the below setups.
AMP:
Yamaha RS202 priced at £179.00 - well spec'd including bluetooth.
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-202211-rs202d.aspx#tabSpecifications-tab
(Requires turntable with built in phono stage or a separate phono stage).
Or
Marantz PM6006 priced at £279.00 (Built in phono stage).
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-13000-pm6006.aspx
Turntable:
Audio Technic LP120 priced at £239.00 (Built in phono stage)
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-201951-atlp120usb.aspx
Or
Rega Planar 1 priced at £248.00 (Currently waiting on more stock - I own one of these myself)
http://www.rega.co.uk/planar-1.html
To use this you would require a separate phono stage.
Rega MM2 priced at £89.95
http://www.rega.co.uk/fono-mm.html
Or
Project Essential 3 priced at £239.00
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-202340-essential-iii.aspx
Again would require a phono stage.
Project offer the Phonobox MM priced at £44.10 (Could also be used with the Planar 1 above)
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-201010-project-phonobox-mm-blk.aspx
Speakers:
Monitor Audio Bronze 1 priced at £199 (Black, White, Walnut).
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-12897-bronze-1-black.aspx
Or
Monitor Audio Bronze 2 priced at £249.00 (Black, White, Walnut).
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-12901-bronze-2-black.aspx
Or
Q Acoustics 3020 priced at £229.00 but we have them on offer at £149.00 (Graphite, Walnut or Black Leather finish only)
https://www.richersounds.ie/p-201180-3020-walnut.aspx
You would also require speaker cable and an interconnect or two for connecting phono stage if required.
Have a look over the above and see if any would suit and let me know.0
