Sorry, not sure if this should go in sports or regional so feel free to move it if in the wrong place.

Im looking for info on the GAA club in Howth - do they have a mens football team, and if so what standard they play at? Their website, twitter and facebook has very little and the email address doesnt work.

They list full membership and social membership - not sure what each entails.

Don't know much about them but they are in Div 9 in adult mens.

Full membership usually entails full voting rights and use of facilities possibly insurance although sometimes there's a playing member option.
Social membership is usually just use of some facilities.
Full and social membership will vary from club to club.

Beann Eadair play at Pairc Ui Ruairc Balkhill which is off to the right as you head up to the Summit from the Village. They were once a very formidable club but fell away about 20yeas ago. They have decent facilities, 2 pitchs, an all weather training area with skills wall and a clubhouse with lounge. They appear to be putting in a good effort at juvenile level now fielding teams in football Hurling camogie and girls underage football. I would say they have a bright future if they can maintain their current efforts.

Their adult team play in Division 9 of the Dublin leagues.

The difference in the full and associate/social membership is as an associate can use the facilities of the club can have a say but does not have a vote at meetings. As a full member you can have a direct say at A.G.M, propose motions and get on a committee. You need to be proposed as a full member by 2 current members or if you were previously a member of another G.A.A. club you can transfer your membership. and depending on club policy you may get chance to get to avail of club tickets for games in Croke park.

If you have moved to the area drop up some evening as training will be back now. I know a few juvenile mentors and a committee member and they are nice people.

You can contact them here on this email which does work. secretary.beanneadair.dublin@gaa.ie
