    Hi

I have a philips mini system in our bedroom that my wife uses when doing housework upsatiar or when taking a bath.
It was a grand little system I bought a good few years ago and sounds prefect for what it is intended for .

Recently the CD player in it began to skip and stall. two days ago it died so now it is a clock radio smile.png

Anyhow. it has lovely cherrywood looking shelf speakers which are an ideal size that I would like to utilize with a new system from you.
I have broken ity down to one of two units from you.

    1)
    PIONEERXCHM51DAB

    2)
    DENONDM40 DAB

This is where I am getting a bit stuck

    Pioneer is 4ohm output

    Denon is 6 ohm output

Ideally I would prefer to buy the Denon.

My Philips speakers are 4 ohm
This is it if you need to check

Would my speakers work with the Denon or would it possibly damage it?
Normally it is turned up to 2 are an alarm.
around 7~8 when housework being done
up to 14 when she is resting in the bath.

    Hopefully the Denon would work.
Even for a couple of months as I could then replace the speakers with something like these maybe??

    MISSIONLX2

    I am open to suggestions.

    Thanks

    Hi Vectra.

Looking at the speaker they should work with either system.
As long as they are just connected via speaker cable then you will have no issue.

The DM40 is really really popular and has had many 5 star reviews.
Currently priced at £179.00 - Its up as in store only but I'll bend the rules due to length of time taken to replay.

Let me know what you think.
    Delviery would be £6.99

    After a qhile of deciding,
I finally bought the DM40 couple to Q Acoustics 2020i speakers.
Havent had time to set it up just yet but had a peek on the boxes.

    Well,
I set this up Last Monday,
Left Bass and treble pretty flat so as not to overdrive the speakers and give them a chance to settle in.
I have upped and downed the Bass and Treble over the past 2 days and couldnt be happier with the whole setup.
I can swer it is sounding better as they days pass.

Thanks again for all the help Guys.
