Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So after the fiasco that was the eventually scrapped Note 7, and speculation that Samsung would kill the Note line entirely, it seems that there'll be a new one this year after all..
Samsung has yet to comment on this latest report but dropped a big hint at a Galaxy Note comeback with the promise that that burned Note 7 users in Korea would be able to bag themselves a half-price Galaxy Note 8 this year.

Another gossipy insider, this time from a partner company of Samsung's, has also revealed some details about the upcoming smartphone, saying that it'll be the first to offer a 4K-resolution display.

So what do ye reckon? Will it sell or have people been burned (no pun intended!) too many times by problematic high-price brand models at this stage?

Personally I fail to see the point of 4k on a 5.7" screen myself and if that's the big selling point I think I'll be skipping this one as well.

    Interesting.

4K eh? Sony already had one. (ok wasn't full time 4K tho)

I think Volkswagen will be one of the top selling manufacturers this coming year, if that helps answer the question...

I hope this is true I love the note series and the Note 7 was a disaster. But they need to give it more its too in common to the s7 edge lineup I think.

Looks like the Note 8 will be announced at Samsung unpacked event in New York on August 23rd. Seen some renders on sammobile. Looks like a stretched s8 with dual camera set up.

Is the extra €50 over the S8+ worth it for the dual cam, S-Pen, and extra RAM? Definitely.

S8 plus is €670 on Amazon Italy delivered and with Vodafone charging €999 my maths could be off but that's €329 of a difference not €50 Bas. https://www.amazon.it/gp/aw/d/B06XWWDLQP/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A1WGOYTTFOOKT2&psc=1

I'm talking RRP, and that's what the difference is. I'm sure you'll be able to buy the Note for a cheaper price after it's released.
