    Hi Folks,
How much should I expect to pay to have an old domestic fuse board replaced with a new board. ...(The old one has the old round fuses)
This would be to supply and fit the unit.. so total cost.
    Thanks for help.

All depends on house size. How mane MCB you want or any other extras.

House rewire may also be needed depending on age.

For something not to flashy around €300 upwards.

    Thank you for reply.
This is a standard four bed house which is about 30 years old. Other than a fridge, washing machine and dishwasher with the latter two used twice a week ,the next most used item is a kettle...about 20 times a day.. :).
    Thanks for help.

A straight forward swap should cost 300 to 400. Bit it may not be as simple as that. The house will have to be retested and any problems found addressed

I would have said more like €600 minimum.

There is a body of work in doing this properly including:

    1) Inspect to determine what materials are required (number and types of circuits) and see what issues there are (undersized conductors, missing earth cables, joins on cables etc.).

    2) Purchase materials.

    3) Replace the board and resolve some / all "issues".

    4) Test / certify and document same.

    5) Make recommendations based on customer needs, compliance with the regulations and assessment of the condition of overall electrical installation.
