Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I Want to get Cancer Ad Campaign

I don't like it.... I find it a little shocking especially for those that may not see past the opening scenes. My mother died from Cancer after a long battle and I feel that if she had been watching it during her battle she would have found the opening scenes a little shocking, I don't know if she would have understood the culminating message in it. I think anyone who is battling Cancer would say "My God, why would anyone wish this upon themselves". I understand they are campaigning for funds but I think it is insensitive to those that are suffering and for their families, especially if they don't concentrate on the whole ad and see it through to the end. Am I being a little sensitive or could they have thought of a different slogan as such?

It just left me going WTF!?!?

I know it's a play on words but it's just very weird. Also the 1 in 2 figure is a life time rate and includes very minor skin cancers etc.

Telling me there's a 1 in 2 chance I will get cancer doesn't make me want to donate money it makes me feel really depressed and helpless.
