No . Dont agree. Guy I know went to last session . Said it was edited to bits and there were long awkward pauses as well. At least tubridy and Darcy are live.

I can only take your word for that, and it wouldn't be surprising but there definitely does not appear to be any edit on these interviews unless it is extremely clever, a few intakes of breath while TT thinks up another question the odd time etc and a bit of stuttering but nothing that awkward.

Darcy stumbles over questions, gets visibly awkward and uncomfortable with responses, laughs awkwardly and gets passive aggressive when the guests slag him a bit in a friendly manner and asks stupid silly basic questions almost to the point of "what is your shoe size" like it is a job interview yet he has a week to prepare beforehand, knowing what is ahead of him.

So, do we not know who's on this tonight either?

    Probably not, I suppose.

Someone who was into sports in a big way. Someone who had a promising career but took drugs. And some woman who works as well as having numerous children. ( just guessing).

I think his parents are English and moved to Ireland when he was a child.

The sound quality is brutal on the Tommy Tiernan show.
It sounds like they're talking through a kitchen roll.

The Laser Eye Surgery didn't go well for Adam
Adam Clayton is the bassist in the rock band U2. He underwent LASIK surgery in an attempt to correct his vision, but his outcome was a little imperfect. Although his vision seemed to improve during the daytime, he cannot see clearly at night. This has resulted in him not being able to drive at night. Not to mention issues seeing the crowds of people at his band’s shows.

What a really very silly format.
It's about how great Tommy is at improvising (badly) with the guest. Great example of a poor interview tonight.
It could be so much better if it was normal format where the host can think about questions and topics to probe in advance.

I went to the optician because I couldn't see very far.
He took me out into the garden and asked me what the thing in the sky was.
    'The sun', says I.
'How much fecking further do you wanna see', says he.

The Edge is also a dirty Brit.

Born in Essex but from a Welsh Family 'Evans'.

So he is not the worst type of Brit when all things are considered. :D

Edit- takes 'the edge' off it a bit.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

I was in court a few years ago . I was up before the judge first and was looking down at people back in the court and recognised someone . Didn't know how I knew him until I got home that night and seen a u2 member had been robbed by his accountant lol

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

Were there any amusing incidents in the last 40 years of U2, Adam?

    Anything?

Could you make something up ...
